4 out of 5 stars I love this game!
Sherri Luck

Obviously, some people writing these reviews have not actually played this new installment of the FIFA series. The newest FIFA is probably the best ever. Road to the World Cup had many flaws that were corrected in this game. 2006 FIFA World Cup has many fun game modes and very good online play with very little lag. This is probably one of my favorite games out on the 360 and is definitely worth your money.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding !!! It can't be compared to RTWC !!!
Luiz Manetti

I respectfully disagree with the previous comments saying this game is similar to RTWC. For me RTWC was not finished and had to go out in order to not loose the momentum of the Xbox 360 launch. This version is probably the RTWC, but ready for the market. It has the Fifa 06 (for Xbox) gameplay, and more !!! It also has all the nice graphics that we had in RTWC. For me this is the best soccer game ever in terms of quality and gameplay. For sure there are some basic mistakes, as any other Fifa game, i.e.: you can't see the overall rate of each player without manually going to every single player's bio (x button); you can't create a tournament for 2 people and use the cpu teams to play against your friend, you can only play with one of the 2 teams you've marked as user teams; the goalkeeper may still jump to catch the ball and fall down inside the goal, while the referee doesn't flag that as a score; and some others that the Fifa consumers are already used to (unfortunately). I also agree the price is extremely high ... but it is worth it. If you like Fifa and was upset with RTWC, I do recommend this game.

5 out of 5 stars Fun gameplay, great atmosphere.

I'm an American who played soccer when he was a kid but really doesn't watch much on TV aside from when the World Cup rolls around every 4 years, so take my review w/ a grain of salt. However, that said, I think FIFA World Cup 2006 on the Xbox 360 is a VERY fun soccer game. I'm told that the Winning Eleven series (which unfortunately doesn't have an Xbox 360 version yet) is a more accurate soccer simulation, but I never felt like FIFA WC 2006 was too arcadey. I think it does a good job of emulating real soccer. The animations are very good, the details in the players and stadiums are great on the 360 in high-definition, and the announcing and other sounds are very well-done (when I was playing a game, my wife thought I was watching a real World Cup match).

5 out of 5 stars Great Game

I recently borrowed FIFA World Cup 2006 from my friend and was amazed at how great it was. This is by far the best soccer game I have ever played. The graphics are excellent and are the best I have seen in any soccer game. FIFA World Cup 2006 certainly provides you with the ultimate world cup experience! Overall this is a great game and worth buying!

5 out of 5 stars amazing game!

Now that the world cup has come and gone, I still continue to love this game. I had never played a soccer game before in my life, but I tried this one out and it definitely hooked me in. The controls are easy to learn, and it's fun to get to learn the rosters of different teams since the graphics are so good you can easily learn what players look like.

2 out of 5 stars Played this game for 2 months now, and it's not that great

I've played many EA FIFA soccer games, starting with FIFA 95 (I think), and this got to be the worst of all. In general the game just doesn't feel like it was well-thought out.1, the graphics aren't impressive. This being a XBox 360 game I think we all deserve nicer graphics.2, the game menu is very time consuming to navigate. It seems that if you select any item on the menu, it will ask you again and again if you want to save the settings to the harddrive, when the harddrive is the only memory device attached to the XBox 360! After you finish a tournament game, you must go through 4 questions in the menu. "Do you want to save the tournament?" (Yes) "Please select which storage device" (The only storage device you're showing me, the harddrive, please) "Do you want to save your awards?" (Yes) "To which storage device?" (Again, the only storage device, please). And all this happens after the computer asks me which storage device I want to use when the game first loads.3, speaking of time time consumption, the game force you to watch a lot of animation. Whenever you or the computer makes a sub, the game puts on this stadium scene for about 10 seconds, and you can't skip it. Admittedly, those are the only nice graphics contained in this game. Perhaps that's why the producers really wants you to appreciate it! If you play on Xbox Live, your human opponent can force you to watch a truckload of animation as well, such as 30 seconds of opening scene and 30 seconds of closing scene.4, This bothers the most. The AI is so dumb that it made me smash my gamepad in anger more than once, and I'm not usually an angry type. When you try to pass the ball to a wide open player the AI decides to pass it to another player guarded by 3 opponents. Or when one of your players is the person closest to a free ball but he won't do anything other than just standing there and watching the opposing team to take it. Or when the ball lands in the vicinity of a player, you hit the "switch player" button, but control is switched to the player second or third closest to the ball. You keep hitting the button and it just won't switch to the player who is closest to the ball who, of course, is just staring at the ball. I also like how when you make an offside pass, the computer doesn't tell you it's offside until after you dashed for it for 5 seconds and touches the ball.5. Oh, and more design flaws. Sometimes the goalie makes a save, but unfortunately, his whole body AND the ball are both in the net already. But the computer does not detect the score, and the game goes on. I've seen this happen more than once on Xbox Live. Also, when you are very near the end line and thus have a very small angle relative to the goal, it's pretty hard to score a goal, right? Not so. If you do a chip shot at a very small angle, the goalie gets very confused and will not catch the ball - never. These are the annoying little things I can think of right now. I love the sport and used to love soccer video games, but unfortunately this game has turned me completely sour. With little things like when the England scores a goal against France, the stadium crowd goes jubilant and joyfully wave French flags, it just feels like EA didn't care at all. There are so many annoying little things that could have been easily fixed.Bottom line: This is the only soccer game for the 360 thus far. Buy it if you must have a soccer game in your collection. Otherwise, I would wait until Winning Eleven comes out. I can't wait to abandon the EA line now! Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Finally!
Kevin

I've been looking for this game for years and know I finally have it. From what I expected it is a fantastic game, there is nothing wrong taking a break from the newer Fifas and going back to the classics. The game modes and challenges are very fun to play!

3 out of 5 stars Long wait

It took almost 30 days to get this product, if I would have known it would have taken this long I would have just bought the 2010 version

4 out of 5 stars The EDF Needs You!
Michael J. Tresca

It's rare that a game gets panned and, upon reading about it, I realize it's the perfect game for me. Earth Defense Force (EDF) 2017 is a bit of a clunker, with unrealistic physics, repetitive enemies, and a terrible vehicle mechanic. Folks accustomed to the first-person smoothness of Halo or the gritty action of Gears of War would most certainly turn up their nose at EDF.But I loved every single level of it.You've probably guessed what the plot is: flying saucers invade and deposit hordes of giant ants, spiders, robots, and Godzillas--sorry, "Dino-mechs"--onto the Earth's surface in an attempt to take over the word, Independence Day-style. You are Storm 1, EDF's premiere ground soldier. You and a bunch of your hapless fellow soldiers are tasked with repelling alien invaders several times your size with nothing but handheld weapons. Remember Starship Troopers? It's like that. With apologies to Winston Churchill: You fight on the seas and oceans, you fight in the air, you defend your planet, whatever the cost may be. You fight on the beaches, you fight on the landing grounds, you fight in the fields and in the streets, you fight in the hills...and you never, ever surrender. From Aliens-style bug hunts in cramped tunnels to bitter Children of Men-style warfare in ruined cities, EDF drops you into every environment imaginable, puts a gun in your hands, points you at a giant monster and asks you to take it on mano-a-giant monstero. The enemies are glorious to behold. The giant robots are 1950s style automatons reminiscent of the Iron Giant, clunking their way through city streets with gigantic beam weapons, one eye, and weird rope-like limbs. The giant dinosaurs breathe atomic fire and smash through buildings and troops. And then there are the bugs. Lots and lots and lots of bugs. The giant ants squirt acid or bite, swarming in an erratic pattern just like their tiny brethren. The giant spiders, a combination of tarantula and wolf spider, jump AND spit webs. As if this weren't bad enough, sometimes EDF throws all of these types of enemies at you at once. The other major part of the game are the weapons. There are intelligent miniguns that track monsters just like in the extended cut of Aliens, bullets that ricochet off of the walls, flame throwers, grenade launchers, sniper rifles, acid sprayers, time release mines, rocket launchers, guided missiles, and of course shotguns. Each has a reload time, although you rarely run out of ammo, and a range and damage, so there's plenty of variety. The more enemies you kill, the more weapons and armor you pick up. There are also vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, hoverbikes, and mechs, but the controls are clunky.EDF revels in its size. Everything is destructible, from bikes and cars on the street to skyscrapers. And they can all be taken out with one well-placed (or poorly placed) missile. Bugs run up the buildings and attack from above--but if you shoot one of the buildings down, the bugs just float to the ground without a scratch. In fact, there's really no penalty for falling (including blowing up the building you're standing on). I destroyed quite a few buildings and struggled to run out of the falling shadow, only to watch the rubble fall right through Storm 1.On the other hand, the UFOs that fly overhead are also a destructible part of the scenery. As a result, there's a massive sense of scale as you fire rockets at the giant spaceships floating above you; it's exhilarating to watch one of the UFOs crash to the ground after several well-placed shots. And since the things are so darned big, they often fall on TOP of you.The AI is dumb as rocks, of course. While there are occasional bosses, this game is mostly about blowing up the entire scenery. Sure, Storm 1 leads the EDF troops once their captain dies. And the dialogue really is hilarious: it's been structured so that they talk in vague terms about the enemy to increase the applicability of spoken phrases. Here's a typical snippet of dialogue:"Where's the enemy?""The enemy is out of range!""Are you scared?""Shut up!"This silliness adds up to the perfect B-movie dialogue. Even better, the troops are almost of no help whatsoever and actually a threat--though buildings fall through them, your troops can be hit by friendly fire. I killed off the entire platoon several times when an idiot EDF soldier ran in front of my rocket launcher.About the only unforgivable flaw is that the game's difficulty levels are widely variable. I beat some levels with ease on hard while others were impossible. Unfortunately, EDF does not count beating a level on hard difficulty as beating it on normal difficulty. Since EDF awards points on Xbox live only upon completing every level on one difficulty, switching back and forth between normal and hard levels meant I ended up with no credit for beating the game at all.You have to be a certain kind of person to appreciate EDF. If you've ever enjoyed THEM!, Tarantula, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Godzilla, Starship Troopers, Aliens, Independence Day, War of the Worlds, or if you just happen to like blowing things up but suck at games like Gears of War and Halo...then grab your rocket launcher, soldier, because the EDF needs you! 5 out of 5 stars WoW! Intense Addictive FPS - Escapism at $20
Allen H. West

Bought this based upon reviews on Amazon and thought what the hell $20. Yes, it seems to be brainless shoot-em up in the mode of Serious Sam somewhat which I'm a fan of but damn is this thing addictive. It starts out sort of Starship Troopers corny and seems damn is this easy but damn does it build level by level. The intensity of the Hardest/Inferno levels are amazing and the vibrations on the controller so extreme the controller is about to pop out of my hands. As others have noted this doesn't pretend to be an RPG beauty combat game but you best use some strategy as the game progresses the intensity levels are extreme. In some levels the difference between Hardest and Inferno are quite dramatic. Also, the destructibility of the surroundings is amazing while you battle and the scope and vastness of enemies are. Oh well, if you need safe escapism for a cheap $20 this is the ticket IMO.I finished Halo3 on Legendary several times but this is a totally different creature again in the mode of the Serious Sam series IMO. Fun as hell in it's own way. I've bought so many games that sucked it's wonderful when you come across sleepers you've never heard of before. As a follow-up --- Completed at 100% levels three times and 100% weapons (171) and no second controller cheating.TIPS ---Do your harvesting of stamina on Level 52 "Inferno" at "normal" which is easy but the quickest way to farm stamina - follow-up TIP if you don't do second controller cheating.Farm this level without destroying either overhead ship in part two of the level once you have a high level of stamina and higher grade weapons as I accidentally discovered that you about triple the armor drops and so much health drops you can't be destroyed (on NORMAL Difficulty) - you can farm stamina in a few hours that would take you a week to do with the other levels. However, don't try this tactic on Hardest or Inferno Top skill levels as there is no way to survive the onslaught - use normal to harvest Armor for stamina and remember there are a finite number of drops so pick-up everything you can since it can eventually limit the number of armor drops. I completed this level on Inferno using the rotation of XEXR Turret and the Top Rocket Launcher and a ton of drop and rolls and seeking health while turrets repeatedly reload - it seemed next to impossible since you cannot be close to the UFO's and need the EDF Laser rifles to help destroy the onslaught of the second part of the level or your SOL. There are 53 levels btw at 5 levels of difficulty.Easily the most fun for $20 ever --- I've been playing so long that it's amazing the details and areas to explore and different ways to win or lose. Climb up certain buildings staircases to the rooftop to snipe from a distance or go crimson level or sweeping and fight from the under the mountain road tunnel instead of the beach or hillsides - it takes awhile to defeat this way but it makes some seemingly impossible levels as doable surviving strategy. I went weeks until I noticed the Tunnel and started using it as a retreat/refresh battle area. Most posted walkthroughs are useless on Inferno difficulty level though - You can throw the Walkthrough rec's out the window at Hardest and Inferno Level - it becomes more of a chess match strategy and a lot of luck and stamina at times and huge timing since you'll be sapped and cannot see any health drops and it's almost as if the AI cheats from time to time. Some levels just seem impossible at Inferno and I have no desire to redo once complete like the underground segments and don't go back after once finished. Personally I find them creepy even though I've beaten them several times because you have to.The vehicles are the worst part of the game except for the airbike for quick retreats and planting of turrets and getaways but they get destroyed extremely easy. Chopper is interesting but nearly impossible to effectively aim and destroy anything and they all get destroyed within seconds of any contact so you'll avoid them if you want to survive at the harder levels.Anyone that fails to play this game through in Inferno difficulty just try and complete level 43 Spearhead - without harvesting the Top weapons you are toast since spawning never stops while your fighting the spawned and must work your way over to the spider hidden nest and defending and use of EDF Troopers is paramount in this level as they can save your butt while working your way to destroy the spider nest.Learning to drop and roll doubles speed of motion and one of the few survival methods against spidery webs which even drain stamina after killing the spider - spiders can cheat and send webs through cavern walls at times or through a bridge underneath you or over a hillside or boulder out of firing range.Use Airbike to leave weapons and retreat Level 23 is a favorite to use this bike throughout. The forward Spider Nest is one of the most important nests to destroy as the spiders are the most deadly - here's a tip and I wish I had a map I could post.First Jump in that Airbike quick and go forward and jump out and immediately attack the black ant nest and place turrets to defend spiders and drop and roll to the forward to the next spider nest to drop one turret and fire at the nest until it explodes - DO NOT ATTACK anything forward at this point (four more nests). Refresh weapons and get back to airbike and go to the rear street so if any EDF survived follow and then go down a few streets where you can look to the other end and see the Red Ants nest. Bike forward within a block so you don't trigger the reds and leave turrets and then hop back on the bike and retreat all the way back and use rocket launchers or sniper rifles to take out the reds and trigger the turrets to defend all that get released and by the time they get back to where your at you'll refresh al weapons and work with EDF to get rid off them before attacking another nest.NEXT it's imperative to take out the Spider nest -- If you go to the far rear end street and travel to the end of it and turn left go forward until you see a building with a brick base and turn left at that street and it will lead you into a playground area - go through the playground to where the overpass is and hop off the airbike and look beyond through the buildings toward where the tallest bldg was/is and you see part of the spider nest - do not go forward through the bldgs or you'll trigger them and everything else - instead plant turrets around you as a defense and use a sniper or rocket launcher between those buildings and take out the spider nests and when you see it blast upwards get on the airbike to escape to an opposite end and let turrets refresh. I usually take out the red spider nest near it first from the end of that road since the onslaught of four nests with the spiders can be damn hard to survive. When you get advanced weapons it's fun strategically taking out certain areas by going up skyscrapers to the rooftops to take nests out and then escape on the airbike - the airbike can be used like this on a few other areas - IMO the tank and the chopper are next to useless. Most missiles become useless from a distant since the homing where you aims shuts off after four seconds and they go willy nilly until you get the final one which can be awesome to use from atop a skyscraper at the rear to clear out buildings and then the spider nest at the far end before you get killed and use the airbike to escape.Common Rule in about every level with multiple nests or UFO's - Never challenge more than one at a time since you can and usually will triger all of them.Surrounded Level on Inferno --- Use Lysander Z if you have it and XEXR turret - take out the ship at the far right which is the Spider and rotate left using sniper and as you exhaust your 8 shots move forward and drop a triangle of turrets to semi protect the EDF and yourself and then let sniper recharge and start roatation going left and as the turrets are running out starting running to your right via drop and roll since the ships the the right are gone nothing is dropping in that region - let the turret refresh while doing this and the EDF follow you and protecting you until you can set one turret at a time and then start taking out one ship at a time until you have one left and fight them off and harvest armour rotating turret and the sniper rifle and you'll get pretty good with the sniper rifle on this level to the point you could keep battling that one ship since it seems it cannot drop more than 4-5 enemy at a time and they become easy to cleanup but once harvest is done take out the ship since there aren't enough drops to waste your time after this but this strategy works perfectly on the most difficult level where it can seem impossible just randomly shooting.Level 40 is great for harvesting weapons - setup up defenseive turrets and then fight with EDF in the ravine and they can survive even at Inferno with turrets and assault weapons as long as you don't place them behind EDF as they destroy your EDF. Great Weapons to harvest until you need the top weapons which I got on Level 51 and 52.Level 43 can be a PITA. At Inferno Level if you have the Lysander Z - Attack first black spider nest forward dropping a turret for defense in that zone and then retreat to the right side hills where there on no enemies and let the EDF fight the onslaught and as you get to the hillsides and start taking out the nests of the black and then red ants and drop turrets to protect you if EDF gets destroyed since the entire onslaught will be after you then as you retreat over the hills toward the beachside it gives you time to refresh turrets and then you can take out at least one of the Robots and the second if you have time but keep retreating to that beachside and use the entire beach as a defense area and if a robot has survived take him out as it's tough to survive them plus the spiders - keep dropping and rolling right across beach until you reach the underground tunnel taking out spiders with turrets and your sniper rifle and work your way inside the tunnel where you can recharge all turrets and sniper rifle and walk to the other end to the ravine - be careful here since the spiders can send webs through the bridge from an area you can't shoot and suck you dry of stamina pronto - I drop as fast as I can and drop a turret layout triangle quickly and drop and roll in view of the nest and use the sniper rifle to take it out and once the nest is gone it's a matter of turrets and sniper work of what's left always dropping and rolling and watching the radar - if you stand still and the web hits it can be tough to get away - spiders have sneaky AI where they can position themselves in areas you may not be able to shoot and you can drain of stamina even after killing them.Fight Level 51 Convergence retreating to the rear and dropping turrets defensively and attack one ship at a time and then fight off its drops with turrets and the robots that release also. Like Surprise Level -- Don't rush into battle here. Patiently take out segments so as to not trigger multiple attacks or it's SOL time at Inferno difficulty.Take out the Spider UFO first to the front Right - it'll take them longer to reach where you are and provide more chance to survive. Strategically take out one set at a time and all their drops since if they release their cargo in multiples forget about it man on the hardest and Inferno level. The EDF will help defend but won't last long on this level. Before attacking any UFO double check ammo and make sure you are full on both accounts and the turrets are your defense items and about the only way to use two weapons at a time.SURPRISE Level on Inferno Skill --- OK when starting do not think in terms of shooting anyone for the first few minutes - visually think of the map and your goal is to get to the diagonal opposite of where you are and boy it takes a long time to get their - drop and roll to left as far as you can go and then take that street forward to it's very end and let the EDF fight these guys. That far diagonal end becomes you defense fight zone and it's importance on Inferno Level is the triggering that Monster Size Robot with Lasers - it can be next to impossible to survive on Inferno once he's triggered yet when you start your battle from that end and he gets triggered he follows a pattern where he turns forward left and then walks to the diagonal other end where his lasers rarely touch and drain you and it gives you more time to refresh turrets since he's dropping enemies from further away also. If you get sucked into fighting with the EDF and stay to that right forward side you'll find yourself cussing up a storm on Inferno level. As you destroy that UFOs 2-3 drops of spiders and ships then you can take on the overhead ships from a distance with a sniper or rocket launcher and it becomes easy. On easier levels this can be done many ways but IMO this is the best solution on Inferno and Hardest to beat this. On easier levels one may be able to work a quicker way but on Inferno it's next to impossible to make your way going forward over the nests - much like real combat often fighting while retreating and strategically is far smarter than trying to be John Wayne - it's one of the ways to survive Inferno Levels as head on rarely works.MARCH --- Inferno Level Double XEXR Turrets strategically placed to defend the EDFs while you retreat and watch the radar and refresh turrets while three zones send spiders. There is an airbike that can used for quick retreat to refresh turrets if needed - not much time to harvest here since everything is a spider.WRATH --- All Levels but especially Inferno/Hardest. Learn the onslaught types and if you can make it to the final wave try and make sure your far forward diagonal end and when that third wave released view straight down that street (east) and it's imperative that you have a rocket launcher and take these spiders out first from that long distance since they will hide behind other enemies your fighting and throw their webs and you may not be able to hit them and they drain you quick - spiders first is a rule. The AI is amazing on Inferno and can get you really ticked --- the spiders will attach to things under you or even the kings will hide from your weapons. Spiders always go first in this game or else you will. The EDF forces are Starship Trooper Corny and Stupid though they come in handy as a sacrifice when needed. Once you master the game it then becomes a challenge using EDF and helping they survive and they can help you defeat somewhat impossible areas if used properly - Inferno Level especially on the second part with their Laser rifles if your back with them - If your to forward they cannot help much.Final Level --- Two Lysander Z's have worked for me each time but still not easy for sure - at times it's impossible to even see the target but constant drop and roll away from the onslaught is about the only way and peeking at the opening and making sure you have ammo refreshed when it does - stand still and your SOL.These will be the superstar weapons that lead to 100% and the Genocide WeaponZEXR Launcher (Turrets enable dual weapons but one must drop and roll to time long reloads and avoid being killed)ZEXR-GUN (MVP Weapon for many levels - Use two sets for the "MARCH" level of Inferno)Stingray MF Rocket LauncherMEX Emerald is quite Fun until Inferno LevelsLysander Z Sniper (Use two and rotate on level 53 Starship for quicker damage and have high stamina to get 100%) Perhaps the most difficult weapon to harvest - I've gotten it on Inferno Level and Convergence LevelsAF99St AF100 Assault WeaponsProminence M2 Missle LauncherStampede XM Grenade LauncherAll Levels gets you the Genocide weapon which is like carrying a hand held NUKE and often will kill you if you aren't aiming at a distance but damn it's amazing except for the fact it does nothing to the Nests or the UFO's for whatever reason. You'll find yourself using perhaps only 10% of the weapons as 90% of them are useless once you get to the hardest and Inferno level.Enjoy! Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars One of the Funnest Experiences on the 360
S.T

Earth Defense Force 2017 is definitely not going to win any major video game awards. The graphics are clunky, physics are off, and it suffers from some insufferable slowdowns at times. But besides those flaws, it's by far one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had with my 360.The game is essentially a battle between the Earth Defense Force and an alien army of bugs and robots. It's a button mashing blast. One of the best parts of the game is that it isn't easy. Many of the levels require a sound strategy and you'll have to pick your weapons wisely. It's a tough game to beat without a friend playing alongside you.Longevity is not a problem either. You can easily login over 100 hours trying to beat all the boards on each level. You'll want to do this to acquire all of the many unique weapons. Many of the levels are fun enough that you'll play them over and over. The ultimate goal is to receive the crown jewel of weapons, the Genocide gun.At its current price, this is a must buy. The game seems extremely cheesey and it is. But you'll find yourself one of the true hidden gems on the 360.

5 out of 5 stars The best co-op experience I've ever had.
Mollip

I said it. Meant it. Put aside concerns about graphics or depth of gameplay, because this sleeper hit is an absolute blast. It's simple: Two guys, a crew of wise-cracking AI soldiers, constant weapon upgrades made charming by how random they are (you pick up generic upgrade packs then find out what they gave you when the mission is over), and wave after wave of insects, with a few giant monsters thrown in. The weapons aren't amazing but they're varied and clever, such as my favorite: the Tortoise missile. It's basically a homing cruise missile packing ridiculous power, traveling slightly faster than you can run. Just fire one and watch it slowly travel across the sky to whatever target it feels like destroying. Each player chooses a set of two weapons prior to level starting, so it's fun to organize weaponry for max effect. On Easy setting, the game is frantic and challenging enough to still be fun. On the harder levels it gets INSANE. Item rewards scale with difficulty, so it's fun to play a level several times through, escalating the difficulty until you gathered enough upgrades. I don't know how people do it at the hardest setting.Only con I can think of is the vehicles. They're utterly worthless. But they're optional so you can just ignore them.Bear in mind you HAVE to play this co-op to really appreciate it. Grab some snacks.Replayability: High. This may seem odd because it's the same thing every time, but there are so many weapon upgrades that you couldn't possibly get them all on one play through, and you'll need them in order to play the levels at higher difficulty (you keep all your upgrades even when replaying levels). Plus the game is so fun we found ourselves playing many of the levels over and over again for laughs. If you think this is a "renter," you are mistaken. It's one of those games that will always be a good standby for fun.The sequel is set to come out July 5th, with updated graphics and so forth. I may take a couple vacation days off work for it. 5 out of 5 stars The perfect antidote for boring (XBox) baseball games!
Bryce D. Butler

Let's face it: playing baseball on any video system can be painfully boring. Baseball is best played or viewed in person. For the average joe who is not a stat-tracking or rotisserie-playing baseball fan MLB Slugfest 20-03 on XBox fills the void by juicing up the game with more sharp hits, faster pitching, and exaggerated gameplay. This game, complete with Midway's "Turbo" function, is mostly for the fan that enjoys an offensive game filled with homeruns. Perhaps the greatest thing is that you can pick up this game not needing to know which team in the majors has the best pitching or batting and play for a half-hour quick fix. Also, you can beat, ahem, "hard tag" your favorite overpaid major league player on the basepaths. I'm hoping Midway adds a "hard tag" team owner or league commissioner function to next year's game, but I digress.Games are customizable between 4-9 innings there's quickplay, 52 game season, and the classic Midway (TM) beat all the teams on the game mode. The only real drawback on this game is that the rosters are fixed at 12-13 (the latter for American League DH's) players so there's no pinch hitting or subbing runners.Pitchers work off the mound with four specialty pitches and can juice their pitching with the "Turbo" button for otherworldly speed and movment. For example Seattle pitcher Jamie Moyer tosses a fastball on this game about 15 MPH faster than he can in real life. You can change pitchers but only 2 relievers are available. Pitchers can also bean batters to lower their attributes (hitting, power, speed). Don't be surprised if your ERA ends up in the double digits. Fielding is made easier by simply shifting you infield/outfield during pitch selection with the D-Pad. Fielding and throwing the ball is frustrating at first but can be quickly picked up. As a nice touch Midway uses the right thumbstick for direct throws to all of the bases (with Turbo of course). The hitting makes the game. Every ball can be hit no matter how far out of the strike zone. It is simply a matter of timing. You can choose between contact, power, or bunting with the requisite drawbacks to each and you must wisely use your turbo to hit and advance runners. Sitting at the plate with Barry Bonds you can lift the ball out off the park with ease (and Turbo) and he'll stand at the plate to watch it fly out of the park then trot around the basepath. Homeruns are shown in several perspectives and not just in replay. If the homerun ball is hit well the game often moves from the hitter to pitcher perspective to follow the ball itself into the stands. Slugfest lets you know when you've hit it well. Perhaps the coolest feature of hitting is the on fire mode. The first two hitters on a team that go 2 for 2 get set on fire increasing their abilitiesn at the plate and in the field.MLB Slugfest is for the occasional baseball fan who does not live for stats or heavy strategy but the sheer joy of baseball. Some may find the brawling aspects of this game distateful but the game is overall good clean (enhanced) fun. If you enjoy easy hitting and baseball for the simple fun of it this is the game for you. 4 out of 5 stars Fun Game all through
Harish Sathisan

One of the best baseball games if you are looking for fun. Game play is absorbing and fast paced. Great clear graphics. Fun gameplay.Apart from the much detailed graphics and the hilarious antics of the players after completing a run or making a play, the game does have its own pitfalls. Lack of replay is a serious drawback. The distance the ball travels is only displayed for a small amount of time. This game might not apease the true baseball fan who is looking for authenticity.Apart from its drawbacks the game on a whole is one that would give you hours of pure FAST PACED fun and more if you play with another person.

4 out of 5 stars Great Fire fun!!!
Dubyac99

My five year old son likes this game, cuz it's got fire! I like it, cuz its kind of goofy and funny. I'm actually surprised that Barry Bonds agreed to be in this one. Then again, its one of the few games that he's in, and is represented as a Steroids freak, just like most of this motley crew is.I like the commentary, and that you can do bean balls. I like when the players start to burn. That's pretty funny.I would recommend this one!MC White said; You're on fire, dawg!

4 out of 5 stars VERY FUN...also very hard
"chrisshadybell"

If you like baseball buy this game. It is a little fun with something extra. If you are just buying it for the fighting its not all that VARIED or even that much on fighting. Its just a small bonus. So this game is a MUST-BUY even though it is quite hard sometimes. But I love the batting system on SLUGFEST and the pitching is not perfect but it is PRETTY good.

when i first got this game i couldn't get it to work, what i didn't know is that the game was written on an gold disk, no sliver, if any one comes across an gold disc and can't play it don't panic cause you have to switch you're HDMI cables for the regualy VGA cables you do that and you're playing in no time.

1 out of 5 stars ce jeu est une joke

ce jeu est une vraie farce , on ne peut meme pas charger de lanceur comme on veut , meme chose pour les frappeurs. pas du tout comme le vrai baseball. je ne le recommande pas du tout.

5 out of 5 stars Made PS4 Worth It - SPOILER-FREE REVIEW
jabykoay

If you've unfamiliar with inFamous, the concept is the coolest thing you could ask for in a game. Every inFamous game is a sandbox with endless freedom, like GTA, but you've got super powers. While other super hero games are limited to established abilities, whatever was introduced in their respective comics, inFamous gives you Cole MacGrath and now Delsin Rowe, characters with completely fresh powers that grow until the game's completion.inFamous 2, in my opinion was hands down, the best game for the PS3 and my personal favorite game of all time. Suckerpunch provided the aforementioned concept, incredible voice acting, beautiful graphics, great story & characters, finely crafted cut scenes & well written dialogue and fun, fun, fun gameplay. It's a 10. So inFamous Second Son was anticipated with high standards to be met or surpassed.Upon first hearing Delsin talk, I said to myself, "Oh screw this guy." I immediately missed Cole But as the story progressed, he quickly grew on me. There are definitely aspects to Delsin that make for a far more thrilling character to play. As soon as you get your first power, taking into consideration this is a vast open world sandbox, graphics are absolutely stunning, comparable to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The fire effects, smoke, streets, lights and reflections, all just pop. The variety of people occupying Seattle, however, felt lazy. I saw the same faces over and over again, but I am guessing this was deliberately kept minimal to concentrating efforts where the pay off was obvious. It just becomes noticeable when some of your missions involve looking for people.I'm big on great music in video games and the score in ISS felt at times like it was trying to be cool. But generally it worked. Just occasionally distracting. Nothing beats inFamous 1's soundtrack in this franchise. When present, story, dialogue and cut scenes are just as solid as inFamous 2. But these character moments are bare bones, mostly riding the book ends of the game, leaving you longing for much more in between. The game wants you to care more for these characters than is warranted because they are simply not very involved in the journey. To this issue, there is no real counterpart to keep you company and enjoy your growth with you like Zeke did for Cole in inFamous. One very important element lacking in this installment which was present in previous was a sense of urgency, a constant driving force. Particularly with inFamous 2, the stakes kept getting higher and throughout the entire game there was a looming danger. inFamous Second Son however doesn't keep you aware of why you're playing. What sends you on this mission to Seattle doesn't really come up again until the game is over. The game sought to maintain the serious tone of inFamous, but Delsin doesn't really experience any down points or set-backs like Cole did.Despite the aforementioned shortcomings, inFamous Second Son has some really great surprises. The previous installments had far more variety in terms of optional side missions and as a completionist, I found myself annoyed at the unforgivably identical side missions that filled each district. The game plagiarized itself about 20 times. There is a spray paint side mission in every district, sometimes more than one. I have no idea why this is part of the game and made to feel important. It may as well have been a cut scene you are awarded for watching, as that's how much you participate in the spray paint side missions. They're not even missions. They're just a hassle you have to do if you want to do everything. And just when this was about to take it's toll on me, ISS hit me with something strong, near the mid-way point that rejuvenated my energy. Then it does this again at the 75% mark and even up to the end. That being said, the second half of the game is far more interesting than the first half.Regardless of your powers, upgrades and the area you are playing, what you you encounter most are the DUP: Depart of Unified Protection. They all work for the big bad boss you meet at the beginning and know you are going to have to fight. But what might have helped is if Sucker Punch gave this boss at least one or two mini bosses you had to face. Instead, you deal with the same henchmen again and again. And while they get progressively stronger, thusly more difficult and interesting to battle, it can't help but feel a bit redundant. No other super bosses is pretty disappointing, knowing they did this better in previous installments. The most frustrating thing I learned only after the fact is that I probably shouldn't have been such a completionist until I beat the game, as you are given opportunities between story missions and even post-ending to finish up anything incomplete. My advice if you haven't played it yet is to follow the story forward whenever the game will allow you in order for you, the player, to appreciate what you are given to play with.Just to be clear, the positive aspects of the game, which are huge and very fun, I can't really discuss, so as not to give away surprises.Summary:Despite the very annoying shortcomings (mainly because I had very high expectations), ISS feels like a passable continuation. I have no regrets about my purchase and still love it. Sucker Punch produced the most beautiful game for the PS4. It's very fun when you're not doing the uncreative side missions. With each story mission, the game continues to elevate right up to the end, as it's predecessors do. While the journey is not as well constructed as inFamous 2, Second Son is certainly the biggest inFamous game with the most options and choices for your main character. I highly recommend it and still feel that it made the PS4 a worthwhile purchase. I look forward to the next inFamous installment and will be pre-ordering that as well in whatever the collector's edition is available. Currently, inFamous 2 still holds the champion title. First, you have probably noticed that there is no verified purchase. If you want you can check my profile, I will be posting a review of the version I bought. I bought the limited edition one. The reason I am reviewing the standard is this:A. It is basically the same game (minus a couple unlockables)B. I love telling people about great gamesC. I am tired of spam unfair reviews.Letter c is the real reason I decided to write this. At the time of writing this review, there is one person who has reviewed this game, on all three editions, and gave the same 1 star review on all three editions. If you click on his profile, it is full of them. On 6 playstation games, he has given one star reviews with bad reasons. Now to the actual game:For a couple of months now I have been waiting for this game, and I am not disappointed. This shows off what we will come to expect from our next gen systems. With just 5 months after the launch of the ps4, we do no longer await greatness, greatness is here. The graphics are the best that I know of anywhere. This is no lie, they are absolutely stunning. I have not played a more graphically advanced game ever. Since it is an exclusive, the developers could really focus on one system, and they really brought out the big guns.Secondly, the story mode is great. After the first two Infamous games, I was sad to see our main character go. It does not matter because we have been brought another lovable figure. I have started to grow onto him already! The use of features like neon and smoke are great. It lets you personalize how you like to get around.Cole will be missed, but Delsin is a great replacement! Really though, this is a must have for PS4. I wasn't a single player game person till I played inFAMOUS 2. Now I love them. I have not experienced any frame rate drops, or mistimed lip syncs.Pros-Open worldStunning graphics (again the best I have ever witnessed)New power ups (like smoke and neon)Great story line that you expect in a single player gameCons-In all honesty, I wouldn't add anything to this side. I'm afraid if I changed anything I wouldn't love this game as I do now. If you leave a comment with some cons, I will be sure to include them if they are reasonable. I am looking forward so much to this game!I cannot stress how much this game rocks! It is a staple to the ps4 in my opinion, but what do I know?I will be posting some gameplays on my YouTube channel if you are still undecided, or just wanna watch some of Infamous Second Son! Just search Gandalf The Teal on YouTube and it will come up. Scroll down to the Infamous section and enjoy! Please subscribe if you have a chance also, it means a lot to me to see people like my content. I don't put ads on them so this is all just for fun! I will be posting the Wednesday after getting this game!Thank you much for reading to the end. Hopefully this was informative. Please like this review if you benefited in any way from this! I will answer any questions in the comments if you ask! Read more ›

3 out of 5 stars Fun but on the whole a very generic game.
J. Platt

I have to say first off that I had fun with Infamous Second Son. The overall mechanics and gameplay are satisfying, but the game does have some issues. The side missions are boring. They are basically pick a guy out of a crowd, spray paint a wall, kill some drug dealers, or pick up and heal a distressed person. The actual story missions also lack a lot of imagination, but the solid gameplay helps sway any boredom. I also found the story and characters forgettable as they only really serve as a conduit (not trying to be punny) for you to obtain cool powers and use them against increasingly more difficult enemy encounters. In other words it is a paint by numbers video game in a lot of ways with the arguable exception of a couple of boss fights. As for the graphics, they are pretty as expected, and they are a good showcase of what potential this console has. The game took me about 15 to 16 hours to complete at a pretty lazy pace, but someone could easily double that if they play both the good and evil campaign and complete all side quests. To sum up, Infamous Second Son is a pretty game with great fun gameplay, but it lacks any real groundbreaking feature to make it exceptional.

5 out of 5 stars Starts out slow, picks up speed, then bang!
SFA

It took me some time to get into Infamous Second Son. I was a fan of the previous titles and was super excited for this one. However, after starting it I was not really blown away (the graphics were amazing but the story was not). However, after you advance and begin to learn to powers the story started to grow on me too and by the time I was finished I immediately started a new game to play through on a harder difficulty and as an evil version of Delsin. The villain in this game is awesome, I really wish they had more screen time since they make you love to hate them. The graphics in this game are quite possibly the best this gen, so far. The effects and the facial expressions are top notch, though some characters work better than others and a few (the females mainly) came off a bit awkward. The powers are awesome, and though some are basically clones of the others (blasts, flight) they all have enough little differences to make switching them out not only fun but often necessary to advance.Sadly, all of the enemies have pretty much exactly the same powers and just use them slightly differently.I kept waiting for something big to happen like in the first two games where there were such a large variety of abilities on display (ice, oil/fire, electricity, shape shifting, mind control) but it never happens. The story has several missed opportunities in my opinion. I would have liked to seen more of Delsin and Reggie's back story and a bit more of an explanation of him being "the second son". The relationship between these two is fun to watch, but I'd have liked them to have expanded on that, I never really felt like I got to know them.Another interesting thing is that the game play often feels much more like a shooter ala Uncharted/Gears of war than an Infamous game. It's not a bad thing really, but kind of odd at times.I know I had several complaints and if I'd made this review back when I was bored I'd have given it three stars...four at most. But after experiencing the game to it's fullest I have to go ahead and give it a five on Amazon's scale. On a scale from 1-10, it wouldn't get a ten, but it would rank high enough to be a must have for the PS4. Read more ›

1 out of 5 stars $40 worth of plastic garbage
Ryan

Would not fit on my new 40" Samsung LED or even my old 47" Samsung LCD. No directions, just a bunch of odd screws and bolts. Even if it could fit on my old LCD (still about an inch short) the holes don't line up to attach this thing and even if the holes did line up, the screws wouldn't even fit.Returned this and got my $40 back and came up with an ingenious solution.Buy the PS3 Eye Camera Mounting Clip for $9.99, (stay me with me), and buy Scotch(R) Heavy-Duty Fasteners, 2 Sets of 1 x 3 Inches, Strips ,Black (RFD7091). Cut to fit and cover top of PS3 eye mount and bottom of Kinect camera. Stick them together and presto, good looking TV mount under $15. Fits perfectly on my Samsung 47" LCD and looks as if they were made for each other. Better than this overpriced piece of garbage that doesn't even work. Its that or wait until a better solution comes along.(LED owners will have no choice but to wall mount)But do not buy this thing. They are unfortunately (for the time being), the only top mounting TV mount for the Kinect and are capitalizing on it by ripping people off for a flimsy piece of plastic and a bunch screws and bolts for $40. Do not buy!

4 out of 5 stars KNOW WHAT YOU'RE BUYING
Damon H. Sager

For the most part the reviews for this item have been rants about the lack of quality or compatibility of this product.1. Price: Yes, I agree that $40+ is too much for a plastic mount. That's why i gave this item 4 Stars instead of 5.2. Compatibility: I have a Samsung 47" that seems to be the target of this items main complaint. But after taking the mount out of the box and figuring out how it would fit my television the mount was a perfect sturdy fit.3. Quality: It seems to be made of the same high gloss plastic that the Kinect is made from. The legs are plastic but sturdy enough to hold a sensor that is less than 5lbs.I realize that lots of item reviews tend to be rants from customers that feel they've been scammed, but aside from the flat screens that are too skinny to accommodate the top of the mount, this item fits my TV perfectly. I had even read the "bad" reviews before getting the item and expected a flimsy disappointment. I'm glad to say it wasn't, and by mounting my Kinect on top of my TV i gained an extra foot of play space in my tiny-ish living room.

2 out of 5 stars Too bad this is the only option out there
M. McGinnis

My kinect would have a much better angle of view if it were on top of the TV rather than on the base, but I've got a 3 year old 50" plasma and like others, this product won't fit the mounting holes on the back of the TV. It won't expand wide enough to reach the top holes (unless I want to mount it 6" above the TV, which doesn't seem too safe), and is too short to meet the bottom ones. Telescoping legs or an additional extension would have solved the problem. There aren't that many mount standards out there so its pretty pathetic that the designers didn't go through the trouble to see if it fits them--and even more pathetic that MSFT approved it anyway. No other option out there, so I'm going to try to jury rig it, but don't bother buying this if you have a large screen that requires a heavy duty wall bracket.

FYI, I bought this then returned this. It is made for a regualr style HDTV. I have a thin LED TV and it sits almost 3 inches past the TV, it's supposed to sit back and flush. It is made to TV's that are around 3 to 8 inches thick(guesstimate can't find real data). I also had problems getting it to mount. It says to use screws in back. I have 2 sets, 1 high, 1 low. Hooked to low it won't reach top of TV. Hooked to top the extensions are to long and I had to put one screw thru the hole in the arm and the other thru the extension as close to the arm as I could cause when I tried to line it up the holes where behind the end/tips of the arms where there was no holes. By the way that made it tip about 15 degrees cause of how I had to try and mount it. Thats when I found out the actual mount that hooks to the arms that holds the Kinect sat to far forward on my TV. I ended up just taking it back. I'll have to figure something else out instead.FYI I have a Samsung 46" LED HDTV. I would figure Samsungs 46" design is same on all of the 46"cases only the insides would be different but I can't say for sure. If you have a 46" Samsung you can try but if it is a thin TV, less than 3" or so thick, I can tell you already it won't work cause it sits to far forward. You can leave it but when it comes to a moving $150 remote head on top or my $2000 TV, I'm personally not taking a chance of it moving to much or just not enough support.

4 out of 5 stars Works Great on my 47" LED!
MattH72

My husband and I just bought a new 47" Vizio LED Razor TV. So it's about 1.85 inches deep. We've also had the Kinect for our kids. We use our TV on its' stand in a kiddie corner setup. I had looked at all sorts of mounts for placing the Kinect on top of the TV and I must say after reading all of these reviews I was totally against wasting our money on this product. That is until I went and looked at it in a store. We did end up buying the mount and I must say it works great. Yes it is plastic, where you actually screw the unit to your TV is the only metal. The directions were terrible I can agree on that, but my 12 yr old was able to figure it out so its' still fairly easy to put together even without looking at the directions. We had no problem lining up the holes with our top holes on the back of our TV. I had read many complaints about using this on thin LED panels, and if you leave the mount unmodified it will hang over the TV a few inches. Our solution, we used velcro, we attached the front lip of the mount to the front of our TV. What you end up with is a smooth looking front, you cannot see the velcro at all, and the mount looks exactly as it should if it was on a deeper TV, with the kinect and mount flush with the front of our TV. (Note: this does push the back of the mount out behind the TV two inches, but if it's on a stand your stand probably sticks out 5 inches.) I will admit this approach will not work if you have your TV mounted on the wall, but if you do a better solution exists, just buy the wall mount.Overall, the product works as advertised. I am confident the Kinect will never fall, it is secure. Even when the Kinect moves to scan the room there is no shaking. Overall, yes it is pricey. But compared to the other $20 hodge podge solutions people are coming up with, I am happy we spent twice as much and got a solution that actually works, and secures our Kinect. I can post pictures if needed. Time of setup and install was approximately 5 minutes.Anyone who is nervous about using velcro on their TV note, the glue is not needed to be strong on the velcro, we used ordinary light duty velcro and it worked, we did do a test on the back of our TV to see any residue left from removing the velcro, there was minimal which we were able to completely clean using Goo Gone. 5 out of 5 stars Info about the expired XBOX 360 code / what's included [Not a game review]
Lera

The front of the box says that Bonus Content includes Harley Quinn's Revenge and Batman: Year One, and that it has a code to download from Xbox Live that expires on March 31, 2013.I wasn't sure if that meant all content was behind the code or that some was on the disc and some on XBox Live. I got mixed results when researching the issue. One person said they used the code after expiration and it still worked. Some people said they got two discs in the box and it had all the content and others said they got one disc in the box and it didn't have all the content. So here's the breakdown:I put in the code today, 24 April 2013, and it is indeed INVALID on Xbox Live. I have a paid Gold membership (compared to a free Silver membership) and it still didn't work. The box contains two discs. Those who got one disc may have purchased the original game. This is the Game of the Year Edition, with the ugly red and white cover. Upon installing and starting up disc one, the game searched for me and advised me that I have Catwoman content waiting for me and to please insert the second disc to install the Catwoman Bundle Pack. All I had to do to enable this was start the game with Disc 2 in the drive instead of Disc 1. Up came a screen offering me to install:-Catwoman Bundle Pack-Batman Inc. Batsuit Skin-Challenge Map Pack-The Arkham Bundle-Harley Quinn's RevengeI could install individually or select "Install All" button. So a careful reading of the box and examination of the options seems to show that the only thing the expired Xbox Live download code was used for was the animated movie "Batman: Year One." You do NOT get that for free when you buy this game because the code expired March 31, 2013.I hope that helps anyone out there who was wondering, as I was, what the expired code meant.

5 out of 5 stars Best Batman Game Ever
olainez

Let me start by saying something you know already, this game rocks. It's by far the best Batman game you can play, even better than Batman Arkham Asylum which is awesome too.OK, what does it make this version superior over the regular one? Batman: Arkham City (GOTY) comes with 2 discs. Disc 1 is the regular version of this fantastic game, and Disc 2 allows you to install all of the DLC (Catwoman Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Arkham City Skins Pack, and Challenge Map Pack. Also includes Harley Quinn's Revenge new bonus content which features more than two hours of additional content, new environments, collectables, storylines and enemies) on your hard drive. You can download Batman: Year One movie with a voucher code. In other words, all of DLC are on Disc 2 that you install on your hard drive, except for the movie (voucher code). So, if you already have the regular version and a nice friend borrows you Disc 2, you will have all of the downloadable content. On the other hand, if you have never played this game... What are you waiting for? Go for your copy now.Enjoy this fantastic game, it is really amazing.

This game is absolutely amazing. Graphics, missions, gadgets, characters, and story are all just amazing. This is not my first game. I have played Call of duties. Assassins Creed, and etc. I can see that Arkham City has put a lot of work in this game than the rest. The story is so dramatic and detailed. Gadgets are very amazing as you use them to take your enemies down. Stealth, stealth, STEALTH !!! I didnt even know this game had stealth intill I bought it. I'm a hue fan of assassins creed, but after I saw the stealth in Arkham city, Assassins creed didn't stand out anymore. Combat, THE COMBAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS GAME !!! AZMAZIN MOVEMENT AND COMBOS! Not like any other super hero game ever!!! Just buy this game!!! GAME OF THE YEARPros:- Perfect stealth and combat system- Amazing graphics- Missions are never repetitive- Loads of gamemodes to play from- Loads of characters to play as- Free roam experience brings the fun in Arkham- Loads of cool gadgets that lets you decide your next move- Lots of freedom and ways to complete your mission- Detailing enemies- Great dramatic campaigneCons:- Okay Facial graphics- No multiplayer ( Totally Fine )- Can't use Nightwing or Robin in campaign, only in game modes.- Long missions- A few confusing missions ( No Biggy) Thankyou for reading and have a great time playing this game

These discs are perfect for gamers whom are having problems with their 360's connecting to the internet. I've been wanting to play all the side missions with Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin, and etc. Definitely worth the buy and every single cent charged.

5 out of 5 stars An Inexpensive HDMI Cable That Works
T-Lo

I bought this 10' HDMI cable and two 6' HDMI cables of the same kind from the same seller and almost a year later, they all still work fine. You can spend significantly more for name brand cables at retail stores, but you'd be wasting a lot of money that you don't need to waste.Going into it, I looked at it this way: if it doesn't work or work for very long, I wouldn't feel too bad for having only spent less than five bucks in total for a 10' HDMI cord. However, if it did work, it's a pretty darn awesome deal after seeing what regular stores charge for these. Since it has worked as hoped, I am quite happy with my purchase and have recommended these to others.I can't vouch for how your experience will be with your cable, but for me, my 10' foot cable has worked fine. Since there really isn't any middle-ground with cords/cables, it pretty much deserves a 5-star review for doing what you expected it to do.If this HDMI cable stopped working tomorrow, I'd likely just buy another one of these because buying several of these cables would be way cheaper than buying just one brand name cable that might also have the same life-span.

This is a great cable. For the price, it does everything I need it to do. I hooked it up to my Xbox 360 and it looks great!

Man going from the composite cables to HDMI makes a major difference. Improved video and seems like sound. Price was great. Cables arrived rather quickly though it was around Christmas time so it did take a few days probably due to volume of the shipping companies. They are not as heavy duty at the more expensive cables but they get the job done.

I hooked my computer up to the TV and everything worked great. They even included Velcro cable ties. Very satisfied. You may want to get several different lengths at the same time. Shipping costs could add up to regular store prices if you only get one.

This is perfect!! I can watch my computer on my tv! Perfect for streaming movies (for those of us that don't have a smart TV). The cable is super long too so I don't have to get up to browse netflix! The picture is super clear and there hasn't been any interruptions in the video.
