5 out of 5 stars Awsome! Great game

This game awsome! It's so much better than Twansworld surf for the xbox. Anyone who as ever surfed will be glued to this game. If you are a fan of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series you have a blast. The waves and the ocean are as close as you can get to real wave. The physics of this game are over the top! The surfers balance and behave on the waves just like a real surfer. There are even other surfers on the waves you have to watch out for. This is a great game for die hard surfers and landlovers alike!!

3 out of 5 stars This game is in rips bra!!!

Dude, this is the narliest game i have ever played! This game is in rips bra. I love how you can get the massive air of the waves at Pipeline. I like to rip it up with Rob Machado. He is so narly. The graphics are tight and i like how not all of the waves are exactly the same on this game.

4 out of 5 stars super surfing

5 out of 5 stars First impressions from a beginner
william bankwitz

I purchased this game after a lot of decision making on whether or not to buy it.I did not own or even played a guitar before so I purchased the bundle for the 360. The reason that I could not decide to buy this game or not revolved around two items. 1:Was I really going to play it, with my knowledge of the guitar it will take a lot of commitment. 2: I heard that there was a audit lag. this was a break or not break deal. I did not want to put a lot of extra work and configuration into getting this game playable. Here is my experiance with this game (I played about 1 hour so far). First of all I have a old Xbox 360 using component cables and the HD TV internal speakers. (with this setup, I cannot detect any audio lag additionally there was some instructions to set the TV and Xbox to the TVs native resolution (I did noting about this - works great).Guitar tuning: Knowing nothing about the guitar, I was very nevous with this point. The game does a volume test (annoying)and a Guitar tune up. the Guitar in the bundle had very loose strings, So it took me a while to get what the game told me to do. But I did get the guitar tuned after about 10 minutes on trial and error. The game does do a excellent job in this area, I was just dense and did not what to screw things up.Game play: This was very fun. I picked up the concepts very fast. I did put on the fret number stickers (Very helpful to me). Played the first song, and felt very satisfed with my first attempts. With the first song on Rocksmith, The difficulty started to ramp up rather quickly, this also made me feel that I do have some hope with a guitar. I also have Rockband 3 and the PRO Fake guitar. the Rockband guitar tutorial is not so intuitive, I usually drop the guitar part and go to the Key Board which is more fun on that game. To wrap this up, I am very glad that I bought this game, and I am very happy with the included guitar and quality of the interface.

This is more a review of the guitar that comes bundled with game, not so much the game itself. There are lots of game reviews to read. The guitar bundled with Rocksmith is a Epiphone Les Paul Jr. Epiphone is basically a Gibson but made overseas and without the refinement. Think of it this way, if Gibson had studied music at Julliard, Ephiphone would have gone to state college. While Epiphone makes some damn fine guitars, Gibson is just more refined. That said the guitar bundled here is a very, very nice guitar. There are two options, sunburst, which is what's pictured on this site, and pure black. I chose the sunburst. This is a full sized guitar, not a 3/4 scale. There are two knobs, one for volume, the other for tone. One humbucker style bridge pickup is located centerally on the body. The bridge itself is of fair quality and non-tremolo style. The string tensioners are good and seem to hold tune. I played for about three hours and didn't even have to make minor adjustments. The strings are okay. For starting out they will work well but you may quickly outgrow them. Their tone seems overly bright to me but I come from a background playing bass so what do I know. With the provided strap the guitar rests comfortably and does not seem overly heavy nor overly light. There is zero head dive which surprised me considering that every Epiphone bass I've played dove like crazy (anyone ever playing an SG-2 knows what I'm talking about here)All in all this is a very good quality guitar. Considering the game retails without the guitar for $80 and $200 with I would say the price is fair. If price is of concern there are dozens of used Epiphones to be had for about half of what this one retails for new however I certainly don't feel cheated having bought this bundle.Game - 5/5 starsGuitar - 4.5/5 stars (half a star down for strings)

5 out of 5 stars Great Game!

I have had this game for a few hours now, and I can already feel myself getting better. It comes with the guitar, two picks, a strap, a USB cord, and a regular guitar cord (for plugging into an amp). It's very easy to set up. You take it out, plug it in, and you're good to go. It takes you through a brief tutorial on how to play, and then tunes the strings, telling you how to do it. Before every song, it has you retune your guitar for that song, or makes sure your guitar is still in tune. Then you play. At first glance, it is very intimidating, especially if you're used to playing Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Stick with it, though. It gets easier as you go. As you get better, it introduces new techniques, and offers a "challenge" to better teach you how to play using those techniques. I am a beginner guitar player. I played a number of years ago, and didn't take formal lessons. I jumped right in and felt at home. You have two options; you can play your "journey," where you practice a few songs, get a high enough score to qualify, then go perform them to move on. Your other option is to just jump into whatever song you wish. I found myself doing both. The bottom line is, if you were having second thoughts about buying this game, just go for it. If you want to learn how to play, you will. It really is wonderful. Yes, the guitar is a "cheaper" version, but if you're just starting to learn, you don't need anything better. And the good thing is, once you get better, you can buy a better guitar and use it for this game because it works with ANY GUITAR. It honestly is wonderful. You won't regret this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Review for Wireless N MadCatz Adapter...
Candle

Okay, I don't write many reviews unless the item makes a huge impact in the quality of life, and this one did.1. This adapter is multi-functional and everyone should have at least one of these in their home.a. This adapter will hook up to your PS3, and Xbox 360 with ease and run flawlesslyb. This item can also be used on various other devices such as your Direct T.V. box and your internet ready T.V. if your T.V didn't come with a wireless interface. For example, my Mitsubishi 73738 didn't come with a wireless card built in, so I connected one of my Madcatz adapter to its Ethernet port to obtain internet for the T.V. Likewise, you can use this device to give your Direct T.V. box access to the internet without using a hard line. I am using an HR-22 box from Direct T.V. just so you know.Hook up is not that hard, I bypassed the CD entirely and hooked it up manually. However, this can be a pain for anyone who has not hooked up a device like this manually before. I will leave the procedure below to help you set yours.1. Whatever computer you plan to configure this device with, disconnect it from the internet, UNLESS its hooked up wirelessly, then you can leave it connected.2. go into your configuration for your ethernet port on your computer and change the IP address to 10.10.10.4 with a subnet of 255.255.255.03. After you do that, connect the Madcatz adapter to your Ethernet port. Next, open a browser and type in 10.10.10.254 and hit enter. You should now be looking at the login screen for your Madcatz adapter. Both the username and password is admin.4. Once your logged into the adapter, select the folder that says, Site Survey.5. Click the radio button next to your router or the router you want this device to use for the internet, then select Add Profile.6. A window will pop up. Add in the same encryption that is on your router here along with the phrase or keyword used to access this router. When you are done here, click apply and your done. Dont forget to set your computers IP address back to "Obtain IP by DHCP" or whatever it was set to prior to configuring this Mad Catz Adapter. Incidentally, I am currently on the internet using the mad catz adapter on my laptop.Side notes, and summary;1. You must changed your computers LAN (Local Area Connection) IP address (not your Wireless Network Connection) to 10.10.10.4; subnet 255.255.255.0 - do not skip this step2. Hook up Madcatz to your Ethernet Port, bring up a browser, type 10.10.10.254, and login using username; admin, password admin3. Access and configure ONLY the Site Survey folder, don't open any other folder, YOU DON'T NEED THEM!. If you do, and you dont know what your doing, consider yourself screwed.4. Select your router in the list of routers you see and hit Add Profile. 9 times out of 10, this area will already be configured with the encryption of your router. The only thing you normally have to update is the encryption phrase or passkey. Your adapter will normally pull all the information it needs to configure itself, however it will need you to enter whatever the passkey or phrase is.5. Click apply, close the browser, disconnect the router from your computer and hook it up to your Xbox to test.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO UNDERSTAND1. Be aware that your router maybe older and if you haven't updated the firmware in awhile, now maybe a good time. This is a newer device.2. If this device disconnects from the network periodically, it may have lost its DHCP address and needs a new one. I suggest telling your router to lease the address to the MadCatz Adapter indefinitely, so there is no overlap and conflicting addresses.3. I strongly suggest using the Web based application only to set up this device. Contrary to earlier post by others, you DO NOT need the CD to set this device up through Web based.4. Finally, if you set this device up correctly, its extremely fast. Its faster than my D-Link USB Wireless N. Testing this device against a USB D-LINK wireless N was no contest. The madcatz adapter hooked up to my laptop performed faster, downloading page request from the internet quickly. As noted earlier, this device can be used to provide wireless to a range of devices to include, desktop computers, laptops, Xbox360, internet ready T.V's, PS3, DIRECTV and so on (I've tested this device on most of these).Good luck! 4 out of 5 stars Can be touchy, seems different from unit to unit
K. R. Meyers

I'd thought mine was broken cause I was following all the instructions from various sources. It turns out there's one thing you MIGHT have to do that no one mentioned to me. I'll note a couple of small issues here some people might get caught by.1. One reviewer on a different website claimed their unit didn't hold it's settings if it was powered off. This may cause problems in using the adapter for some, but mine didn't have that problem.2. In my case, the only thing that was actually holding me back from getting it to work? The xbox 360 needed to be set back to it's factory defaults. After that it connected like a charm, no problem in the slightest.I don't really know any other tips to give that aren't covered right there in the manual, it's really very simple besides such small issues.

5 out of 5 stars WHAT SETUP PROBLEM!

This wireless N adapter works flawlessly. The nay sayers consider it an inconvenience to have to connect it to your PC first but it's easy as 1-2-3. It takes less than 3 minutes to configure and you are up and running. I was lucky enough to pick this up from an Amazon seller for $20.00 and is well worth the $49.00 that most Amazon sellers are selling it for. It's cheaper than the Microsoft adapter and well worth it. The other reviewers must have had other home network issues because it is a breeze to get up and running. I was enable to configure it in Windows 7 64 Bit with zero problems. There are many negative revies on this product here at Amazon but let me tell you this thing has worked flawlessly quite a few days now. The key is not to use auto channel selection within your wireless router settings. This thing is so easy to configure Stevie Wonder could do it. You don't have to be a computer tech to set it up. If you just use the disc that comes with it and follow the on screen instructions you should have no problem. If you find yourself in the network adapter properties of your computer in Windows 7 just keep clicking every item in the box until the property tab allows you to select it. Then set the ip to the one suggested on setup. When you'r done just change it back to obtain ip address automatically. If you set it up properly you wont be dissapointed.

After reading over many of the other reviews I thought to my self, "I can do this." I really didn't think it would be a big deal at all.My first attempt to get this thing hooked up I chose to configure it via the web method with the CD. I went through all of the steps which the CD lays out for you very well. Step by step it really only take about 15 minutes using the CD. However after finishing the process I went back to my 360 hooked it up fired it up and....NOTHING. So that made me a little frustrated. The Second attempt: I go back to my router and I knew that I had a WPS button on my router so I decide to give that method a shot. Again the CD walks a person through all of the steps very well and leaves fairly little room for human error so long as you are able to follow instructions. However this all ended with the same result. So now I'm not frustrated. I'm Mad. I just paid a bunch of money for an item that does not work. So I gave myself a cooling off period and I let it be for a few days.Third Attempt: I decide to go back and do the web method again and follow the CD walk-through again. Maybe I did something wrong the first time. I go through all of the steps and hook it back up and to my surprise it tapped right into X Box Live and I was on playing Modern Warfare 2 without any problems....However soon after that I found that it was having an increasing difficulty connecting with my router. I found that rebooting the modem sometimes helps, rebooting the router helps sometimes, rebooting the product under review helped sometimes. However now it does not seem to be working well at all as I have not been able to get onto X Box live for three days now and this is more than a little annoying. In this case read the negative reviews and understand the risk you are taking before you buy this plastic piece of garbage. If I were to start this over again. I would by the Microsoft adapter and would have been done with it.

4 out of 5 stars Economical Uppercutting.
Oliver Leland

If Madcatz's FightPads have one great thing going for them, it's that the controllers are roughly 1/5th the price of most decent arcade sticks on the market. Those who are interested in trying Street Fighter for the first time and know better than to try and rough it out with the standard Xbox controller should seriously consider the pad as an affordable alternative to emptying out wallets and collecting change from the couch for a TE or a HRAP. Most everyone will use this controller for Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV, games that require more practice and refinement than other major fighting games such as Soul Calibur or Mortal Kombat. With that in mind, if you aren't sure that you are committed to the game enough so to learn the combos and tactics, Madcatz's FightPad is a good way to dip in and see if you like Street Fighter without the possibility of leaving disappointed and broke. Put simply: the game is not for everyone. With that out of the way, the controller itself is similar to the terrific Sega Saturn pad, which is very good for fighting games. I disagree that the controller feels cheap, although it is extremely light even when compared to a standard Xbox controller. And just like other reviews have established: the buttons are great, the directional pad is okay. More than half of the characters in the game operate with QCBs and QCFs, which I find very comfortable to pull off with the FightPad. However, charge characters such as Chun-Li or Vega are much easier to play using a fightstick.I have had this controller for over a year now, and would likely buy another simply for its price and its portability. I usually play SSFIV on the 360, but if I'm on the go it is nice to boot up vanilla on the ol' laptop and bust some heads with yesteryear's installment. In these cases, a fightstick is bulky and a chore to pack up, while the FightPad is not can be toted just about anywhere. So, in conclusion, the Madcatz FightPad is certainly an economical and logical path to giving Street Fighter a shot, as its shortcomings are greatly overwhelmed by its low-price point. Cheers. OK, this is a great controller! I got SF4 the 2nd day of release and played with the 360 controller for many months. I was determined to get the Akuma but it was too pricy early on. Eventually I got it and all I can say is that I can pull off the combos much easier and the controller just has a superior layout. Some combos are still very hard for me like Vega's, but as for the Shoryuken type - it's great. Plus it's great on many others but the combos where it's: charge <-, ->, <-, -> 3 kick or 3 punch, take some getting used to, Vega's is a similar charge ultra/super. Great controller and it's much more comfortable playing with! SF4 itself is a great game too, 9.5 my book!

Want to step up your fighting game ability without shelling out $100 for a decent arcade stick? If so, this is the controller for you.Let's face it, the regular X-Box controller just wasn't designed to accommodate the needs for fighting games. Pulling off combos and getting special moves to come out when you want them to can be a real chore with the normal X-Box control stick and buttons. While they may take a small bit of getting used to at first, the comfortable pad and Sega Genesis style buttons of this Fightpad offer a much better experience.I saw a few comments complaining about how this is a wired controller as opposed to wireless, but I don't see why anyone should care about that. Wired means you don't have to use batteries or a charger, and the USB input allows the controller to be used for PC games as well.If you're a competitive player, then an arcade stick is still probably the best way to go, but the FightPad is the next best option no matter what type of fighting gamer you are.

5 out of 5 stars Great replacement controller for your XBOX 360 pad
Z Sikder

I have been searching for a controller with 6-buttons on the face for a very long time. Ever since the Sega Genesis and Saturn died, the gaming world has universally adopted the 4-button-on-front interface. That is great for most types of games, but NOT for Street Fighter. After buying countless replacements to play Street Fighter games on the PC, I found this one to be the best. Not only does it have a large, durable d-pad, but it also has a nice feel. It's got 6 large buttons on the front, which makes it easier to pull off throws, focus cancels (SF4), or overheads (SF3). It also feels light. But don't let that fool you into thinking this controller is cheap. Far from it. It has stood against constant mashing, lots of 720 motions, and occasional tosses after frustrating online matches :DAnd although Street Fighter purists will lambaste me for using turbo, I found the feature to be useful when set to the top buttons (3 punches and 3 kicks) to make pulling off ultras much easier in a tough online match. Though I don't think it's programmable to do link combos.I am not a joy stick guy, so the transition from the 360 controller to this was pretty smooth. While a wireless pad would have been great, the USB cable still its perks: no batteries wasted and PC play.Overall: this stylish pad gets a 5/5 for it's practicality, durability and price.

As it may be known for everyone at this moment, these gamepads rocks for fighting games, but what's special about this one, the design all Akuma fans will love it.

Why screw the stick? Why Buy the Pad, for me...*FLAME SHIELD ON!* "FOR ME" READ THAT PART please for the love of god read that part my STF4 fighting pad is 80% more effective and responsive to my commands then the HORI Real Arcade Pro EX 360 fighting stick. Yes i own a Horo RAPEX stick, and i have to say its a nice stick and all but caution about to use some Arcade parts vocab the 4 way gate was not the right choice to use for a game like STF4 IMO. I know for turtlers and Charge players,{Bison, E-honda, Blonka, Gen (crane stance, but 4 way gate makes it hard to do off wall attracts) its a dream, but having a 8 way gate is better IMO! So where dose the Mad Catz STF4FP come into all of this, well i can tell you from first hand use that it is wonderful and very responsive to commands and feel great in your hands, takes some time to get use to but for a 360 owner its nothing short of god like in when its puts in the inputs that u want. A Whammy dial and an additional set of Fret Buttons for strum-free finger tapping allow the bass to double as a guitar, making it all you need to jam either role in-game. If you had to choose only one bass guitar for throwing down in Rock Band, this feature-rich Wireless Fender™ Precision Bass™ Replica from Mad Catz would be your only choice.

4 out of 5 stars Bass Rocks

This is a great controller for all of us wannabe bass players. I held out for the wireless version and it's excellent. It connected quickly with my console and I was up and running in a couple of minutes. The only real drawbacks are that the sides of the keys are not protected so the can be depressed by your hand if you have large hands, and there is no clearly felt ridge on the yellow key to help quickly reorient yourself when playing a fast full range riff in Hard/Expert. The black inlay is very slightly raised but not enough to easily feel, especially if you have calloused fingertips. As a tall adult, I found the strap about 2 inches short of where I would like it to fall and the neck is a bit narrow; but as it was made for all ages and is one size fits all that's not a really major issue. I've seen some reviewers of the wired version say they dislike the use of a knob instead of a whammy bar; I don't really see the need for it with bass anyway, but the knob works fine and there are plenty of opportunities during long notes to use it. Just like playing the split strum bar it takes a little getting used to. All in all, after a solid day of use, I'd say this is an excellent piece of gear. Playing 2-fingered 5-string bass on Guitar Hero and Rock Band is much more fun and a real challenge. Oh, yeah, did I mention that it works for both Rock Band and Guitar Hero? I tried it with Rock Band and GH World Tour and it did fine. For RB2 there's a switch on the back. Bottom line, if you want to really get the Bass experience and don't want to worry about a wire, this is for you.UPDATE after a few months of use:I purchased the wireless XBOX 360 Rock Band Fender bass because I really wanted more of a 'bass' feel while playing RB and GH (it works on both). I must say it was better than I expected and I have much more fun and have improved much faster than I would have playing bass with the standard non-split strum bar of the guitars or the McCartney fiddle head bass (too bad they didn't do split strum bar there!). The action is excellent but takes some getting used to. I would give this 5 stars except for the following (which have nothing really to do with game enjoyment, but can be annoying):1) The unit doesn't like to turn itself on. Even with fresh batteries you have to play with the button to get it on much of the time.2) It burns through batteries like crazy. I bought rechargables primarily for this controller and I seem to have to change out almost every time I play (about 1 - 2 hours of use).3) The headset plug in doesn't work - PERIOD. The input plug receiver is a larger size than the standard headset plug and the adapter recommended in the accompanying paperwork (which isn't very helpful) doesn't fit either. I took a headset with a straight pin plug and put an adapter that fit the bass' input and it still didn't work. You have to use a handset controller to have a headset work while playing on XBOX LIVE.4) The whammy knob is really not a good idea. It's difficult to use as is the "start" knob which takes a good hard twist to get it to work. So, with all the problems I noted, why did I give this 4 stars? Because it's absolutely the best bass controller available and for simply playing bass in the game it's FANTASTIC!Oh yeah, get the ABBEY ROAD add on for "The BEATLES" - some great tunes and excellent bass parts.Gamer tag: Katkillr Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars This is the one to get
C. Betker

If you are a BASS player like me, get this controller. Almost exact size of precision bass. On RB1 setting it plays with all the guitar hero games. Played out of the box spot on for notes. Split strum bar gives true two finger bass playing. best of all no cables.

2 out of 5 stars Good Concept, Poor Execution
wyrmburner

Let me preface this by saying I was very excited in purchasing this product. Based on the reviews, the design with bassists in mind...I was pumped. So, keep this in mind that I might've been hoping for the moon.I do play (real) bass, although I'd rate my skill as about a 3 out of 10. I thought getting this controller would help strengthen my fingerwork, even when I want to relax and just play a game. For starters, the overall design is nice. It is longer, much more "bass-like" than the Rock Band controller. However, it feels a bit cheap, in my opinion. The tuning pegs are quite weak (not like you need to twist them to play, but it goes with the feel of the controller) and the pegs for the strap are pretty loose.Like other reviewers, I did like the omission of the strum bar. The buttons are actually more responsive for hammer-on's and pull-off's, which is nice as well. And, probably best of all, there is a black plastic piece for you to rest your thumb on while you strum like mad...But the strumming is the largest limitation. It strums significantly louder than the original Rock Band guitar (which is an issue for me when I jam late at night and have to crank up my TV even louder to drown out the click-click-click-click). It also takes more force to strum. An issue for me, maybe not all bassists, was my tendency to catch my finger on the inside edge of the strum bar I wasn't intending to hit. It didn't happen often, but frequently enough to frustrate me and ruin some good note streaks. I generally keep my fingers close together when I play, which is what would lead to the accidental clipping of the other bar.Another critique, albeit minor, is that you will not get an "Authentic Strummer" achievement while using this controller. For some reason the strum bars work in opposite directions, one is up and the other is down. This can also be a bit confusing when going through menus, trying to send a message, etc. And although it does work for both Rock Band 1 and 2, there is a switch on the back you have to flip to choose which game you are playing. This makes me wonder if it will be compatible with future Rock Band games or Guitar Hero even (which I did not test). Also, when I turned off the controller, my Xbox wouldn't let me turn on another controller as controller one.Taking all of this into account, I decided to return this controller and go back to what I had been doing: playing the game by strumming the original Rock Band guitar like a bass, alternating fingers. I really couldn't justify the $100 if I'm playing worse with louder strumming. I'd suggest you try the same before purchasing this product. Read more ›

3 out of 5 stars Not the best controller, but adds a bit more fun
Ori0n

I've been a bass player for over 15 years, and I, like many of you, was looking forward to this controller. I honestly find it harder to play the game with than the guitar controllers, mainly for 2 reasons. While playing i constantly feel like i'm going to break the neck off, it feels very shoddy and just bends while I play. Also the split strum bar almost works right, I have found that if you are holding one strum bar up and strum the second it will not register the strum, taking away a very realistic feel for me.But when I keep these two in mind its a great addition to a very fun set of games!I rate it 3 stars because of those two issues

5 out of 5 stars Worth the upgrade
Miguel Sanchez

having used the wired p-bass for a while, i must say this is worth the extra 20-30 dollars.1. back of the fretboard has a matte texture instead of gloss, much easier to slide between G and O.2. strum bar has less of a click, so "strumming" it bass style isn't as tiring.3. no wires! i thought 10 feet would be enough but when it's poking from the xbox it's really only a coffee table away.4. hitting o/d was perfect, with the wired i would have to have a seizure to switch on o/d sometimes.definite must for rock band enthusiasts. highly recommended for casual players.can't wait for the player's guitar now.

5 out of 5 stars An excellent solution to a dull-looking 360
Brian K.

I recently acquired a Kinect and a new Xbox 360 controller (black with LEDs). My 360, a Jasper arcade, was a boring white. So, when combined with my sleek black Kinect and sleek black controller, my 360 appeared out of place. To remedy this, I decided that I was going to find a skin or a faceplate or something-anything- that would make my 360 match everything else. Upon searching for decent skins and faceplates for my 360, I was annoyed with the outrageous prices many of them had ($25, $30, $40, etc.). Then, I discovered this. At my time of purchase, I was able to obtain this product for around $10 (with shipping) like the other two Rock Band skins. Although the price is now much higher (due to only 1 seller having it), I am certain that the price will lower again soon. Anyways, I decided to order this product. Upon receiving it, I quickly opened it up and removed the faceplate from the package and then the skins. The faceplate is an excellent quality faceplate (sturdy, well-painted, etc.). Most of the time, a high-quality faceplate alone will cost a lot of money, so I was extremely pleased with this one. Installing a new faceplate is very simple and anyone can do it (even a little kid, though I wouldn't recommend it XD). The skins look very nice as well. However, like many others have said in other reviews, the way the product is packaged creates a long crease down the middle of both of the skins. Installing them can be a bit frustrating if you want them to be on even and perfect (I am a person who must have something like this perfect). Once you have the skins on properly, they really make your 360 look cool. Unless you're specifically looking for them, the creases aren't very noticeable at all. When the skins are combined with the faceplate, your Xbox won't look the same at all. Many of my friends think that my Xbox looks amazing now, and I have even caused one friend to want to buy a skin and a faceplate for his system.Overall, I love this product and am very glad that I purchased it. Now, my 360, Kinect, and controller all match perfectly, and my setup is loved by many. Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Looks Great!
a_croley

This skin was easy to install and makes the xbox look completely different. Unlike some others, this one comes with the hard face plate instead of sticker to cover it. As I am not a video game expert, just the mom to two of them, it took me a while to realize the original face plate will come off. Very easy to install, and apply the skins to the sides and top. As the other reviewer mentioned, they seller did fold the skin in half which leaves a crease, but hardly noticeable. For the price it was a great buy.

4 out of 5 stars Wonderful skin, but packaging was atrocious
Cole B.

In short, this skin was very easy to install and looks very professional on the xbox 360.The skins for the top and the bottom of the xbox, came in a nice package, however, the skins were folded in half. This wouldn't be a big deal, but this rediculous idea to save space left both the skins with two permanent crease marks through the middle of the skin. Additionally, this comes with a physical faceplate, which is a major PROhowever, seeing as its only $10, came out really nice (and i dont even notice the creases due to the placement of the console)i still will give this item 4 stars

Aurelia M. Ortega

I love this skin changed my 360 and made it rockin. The cover is just what I need, my friend and family love playing our rock band 360.I love it!!!!! Thank you.

2 out of 5 stars useless...
Steve

The vinyl part of this which covers the sides is fairly good, however the front panel or faceplate, is useless. it clicks on but won't allow you to use the power button! Needless to say it renders it useless! I tried it on all 3 x-boxes we have with the same results. Before you ask, I am not trying to apply or use it on a slim or similar unit.I was really disappointed as I purchased mainly for the faceplate. I don't know why these consoles only seem to come in bright colors for the most part. Who really wants to have a bright white box next to the TV? As for the rating, I am being generous with 2 stars simply because the vinyl sides are a nice quality, however why would you want to have an X-Box with black sides and a white front

3 out of 5 stars Launching Colors
Michael Kerner

Out of all the kinds of video games on the market, the most addictive kinds is puzzle games. Nintendo haas really shined brightly in that category well with the Wii. With great games like Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree, and classics you could download for the system like system like Tetris and Yoshi's Cookie, they never seem to come out of style. But, that hasn't been said well with new releases for the system. After some dissapointing titles like Marble Mania and Bust A Move Bash, the classics just don't feel as good as they did then. Now, a classic game from the P.C. finally turns its way onto the Wii, but does it make up from other games that have failed?Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge for the Nintendo Wii, brings the classic puzzle game series from Mumbo Jumbo, into the use of the Wii remote. The gameplay though is very simple as you try to connect three of the same colored balls in your lines, and try to prevent them from going into the black hole. The game features over 80 levels of addictive action. The graphics look nice, bringing in the feeling of Ancient Egypt onto the palm of your hand, but the control of the game is the big flaw. You have to maintain a steady hand if you're going to shoot your balls into the right marbles constantly. Otherwise, it would be difficult to master the game. The gameplay isn't very hard to master if you've played other ones like Zuma before, but there is also a lack of variety in the game. You have similar modes from other puzzle games like time trial modes, challenge modes, but it doesn't do enough to pass the Ancient times away. All in all, if you've played Zuma on the home computer, then Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge isn't a must buy for the Wii. If you have the Nintendo DS though, I recommend that edition instead, because it is a little more fun to play on the go, and easier to control than the struggles at home.Graphics: BSound: B-Control: CFun & Enjoyment: COverall: C 1/2+ Read more ›

3 out of 5 stars Too easy for those who have played Luxor on the PC
Quoad Toad

This version of Luxor is essentially the same as the computer version. Having played and loved the computer version, I decided to buy Luxor for the Wii. I had read that it was the same as the PC, but I purchased it anyway.I had fun while playing this game, but the fun was short lived. I finished this game after just a week. I remember the PC version being very challenging and it taking me several weeks to finish. I must not have lost my Luxor skills because the Wii version seemed very easy.I highly recommend this game for anyone who has not played the PC version. It is challenging for new players. This game requires fast reflexes and concentration. Therefore, it's a great game to play when you want to get relax and forget the worries of the day.The developers did a good job with porting this game to the Wii. I did not encounter any bugs and the controls worked flawlessly.

5 out of 5 stars IF YOU LIKE ZUMA!

if you like zuma and you are addicted to it like i am you will love luxor. great price! i'll have to tell you amazon has the best prices. what keeps me coming back is the price and also the free shipping!

4 out of 5 stars Just Plain Fun
Adrienne Miller

Luxor for the Wii is fun. End of review.Well....okay, maybe a few more thoughts. I did own Luxor 1 & 2 for my Mac before I got this for the Wii, in fact, owning it for my computer is most likely the reason I bought it for my Wii. Computer games are cool enough but I just can't get into playing games with my keyboard or mouse so the Wii version was much better as far as controlling game play goes. The game itself is much the same, shoot balls at other balls to make three in a row or more of them disappear. Good stuff. The only small fault I could find was that the graphics seemed a little small on the screen although, due to the wireless nature of the Wii controls, I was playing it from across the room on my couch instead of 12 inches away like on the Mac version. All in all, Luxor is lots of fun and through the "find new and used from $$" button on amazon, is easily purchased and shipped for less than $20.

5 out of 5 stars Fun for the whole family
Rebecca A. Waddell

"Totally addictive" - true. I haven't finished this game 2 times like I have on DS, but it is still a lot of fun. My whole house hold loves to get on and try to beat each others high scores. I'm glad that Luxor has finally branched out off the PC and came to a console that I can play without sitting at my computer.

4 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed playing
R. Pusch

I never played this on the PC so I can't compare it but my husband and I both really enjoyed this game.

5 out of 5 stars luxor game is great.
John J. Marchese

I bought the game for my wife and she is getting alot of joy playing same.As for the vendor from whom I purchased it, I would buy again from them as all went well. I am completed satisfied. thank you

5 out of 5 stars GREAT GAME!!!
Tonya F. Ryals

If you love puzzle and strategy games like Bejewled - Tetris - then this game is a must have for the Wii. Even my young nephews play this game it is colorfull and well done as well as challenging.

4 out of 5 stars Great beginner stick and easy to mod
Matt V.

The WWE Brawl Stick is essentially the same as the Street Fighter IV Fight Stick (Standard Edition) that Mad Catz released a while ago. However, the buttons and joystick feel slightly improved; the joystick feels smoother and more responsive while the buttons are less stiff. I've never tried the Mad Catz TvC Wii stick, but I've heard it's very similar in feel. For arcade stick beginners, this stick is a solid option without having to drop over $100. If you are serious about fighting games and want to step up your game, I recommend switching to arcade stick; games like Street Fighter are meant to be played with one.The case fits easily in your lap without feeling to baulky or heavy. Rubber feet on the bottom keep the stick steady if you want to play on a table. The USB cord is plently long. In my opinion, this stick is a great size and has all the features you could want in an arcade stick (see product description for a complete list of features). The best thing about this stick is it's very easy to mod. The buttons have quick disconnects, which means no soddering is required. Higher quality buttons, such as Sanwa or Seimitsu ones (about $2-$3 each), will snap in easily. The stock joystick and mount is the same size as a Sanwa JLF, one of the best joysticks on the market (about $25), so swapping the joystick is similarly easy. The hardest part about modding this stick is switching the artwork (unless you want The Rock staring at you while you play). To give you a rough idea, upgrading this stick will cost you an additional $50 for premium parts. There are plently of step by step guides online for modding. Here's a link for one very helpful guide:[...]Overall, this stick is a good buy and can be easily upgraded with a little extra cash.

this is a decent fightstick. it's not top quality but it feels good. for a beginner or i should say a returner to stick, it hasn't disappointed very much. there are some areas that can be improved to make the stick a bit better but it is easily modded (this is my intentions).ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENTthe joystick had an issue from the beginning. it didn't engage properly for jumping forward and backward. i was hitting the corners correctly but the character was only walking. it seemed that the actuator was not connecting with both switches in the corners, so i had to input slightly more to the up side to get a forward or backward jump. however, i corrected that by modding the actuator on the joystick with some electrical tape. this caused the switches to engage slightly sooner and allowed both to be activated in the corners.the stick is a square gate and will take getting use to since i was accustom to circular gates. but the gate can be changed with an octogonal gate(or circular gate if found). so i ordered an octogonal gate to provide more familiarity for myself. I will see how the joystick operates with an octogonal gate before replacing it (if necessary). since good players use square gates it should be an issue for some people.WHAT'S NICEthe BUTTONS are very responsive. i don't think that they will need changing until they start to fail.the TURBO function works great. so far i was able to complete some of the trials on SSF4 that has eluded me when is was playing the pad.the FIGHTSTICK has good weight and don't move easily while playing. it has a sturdy build and look like it can take some rough treatment.it's easily MODDED. this is great for this stick. a SANWA JLF and 30mm buttons can easily swap out the originals. no soldering required! there is also a template on the net for replacing the artwork with your own custom design (unless you like the rock and who ever the other man is. i'm not a wrestling fan).CONCLUSION OF OPINIONit is a nice stick that you can work with. if your looking near perfection, look elsewhere! i suggest that modding is the way to go if the stick don't feel or perform to your expectations. a SANWA JLF joystick will cost around US$25 and an octogonal gate around US$5 online. this should be all that is needed. since this SE (standard edition)fightstick is for US$70 and modding is about US$30, US$100(before shipping) should provide you with a great feeling fightstick. this is less than what u would pay for a top of the line stick like a TE (tournament edition) fightstick.this stick is definitely worth the 70 bucks. i suggest buy and mod.UPDATE (2012/06/07)i had this brawlstick since october and modded the joystick with a SANWA JLF an an octogonal gate. the fightstick has taken some rough treatment and is still going. i replace the L1 and X buttons with the L2 and R2 buttons due to improper functioning. these buttons i seemed to use more often so it is only natural(wear and tear) that they malfunction first. i also drilled 4 holes in the base plate of the fightstick and installed 4 thin but long bolts to secure it to an old table i have with wing nuts. as i stated earlier, the stick got some rough treatment when i was trying to execute complicated moves. therefore, i took apart the SANWA JLF stick in it and tightened the loosed screws that secured the joystick into its plate. definitely the result of rough treatment. it is windows 7 compatible(driver installed automatically) and i use it to with M.A.M.E and other emulators i have on the pc. hence, old classics like street fighter 2, killer instinct 2 and marvel superheroes(just to name a few) are available with the arcade feel i was used to.FINAL CONCLUSIONwith the mods done to the stick, it feels good. much better than before i modded. i am totally loving this stick. i am very pleased with my purchase. i suggest BUY AND MOD. G-Bus Saves

The WWE All Stars Brawl Stick is a great stick for beginners and also a great platform for modifications. I hate the artwork that came on the stick but, that was easily fixed by creating a lami label at the local copy store. The buttons also suck. They're supposed to be the same as Sanwa but, feel lighter and kind of crappy. My lazy hands like to rest my fingers onto the buttons and Sanwa's are just too sensitive for that so I switched to Seimitsu screw down with minimal effort. The joystick also needed help and was sticking due to the poor plastic quality. The metal washer was riding up outside of the indent made to capture it. I fixed this issue by gluing the metal washer in place. Parts from the joystick are compatible with the Sanwa JLF and I tried the octagonal gate but, decided the square is where to be. 4 out of 5 stars Still a very fun game!
Ryan Sil. (Creator of Dynamite Alex for Android/PC)

The original Sonic series has always been considered to be Sega's best. During the 2000s, the series had nothing but a big line of clunkers and game collections, with a few exceptions (Sonic Unleashed, Colors, Adventure series, and the handheld games, to name a few). Then, instead of re-releasing the old Sonics again, Sega finally decided to make Sonic 4, a game that was meant to take the series back to its roots? Did it succeed? I'd say so.Sonic 4 may happen to rehash of Sonic 1 & 2 elements, but the level design, leaderboards, music, homing attack and graphics are all-new (At least, to the original series). The basic gameplay holds up pretty well, and there are some really cool gimmicks added into this installment, such as running across a path of cards, riding in a mine cart, having to beat the special stages under time limits (and no jumping during the Special Stages), etc.Of course, there have to be some flaws. First off, since this was built from ground-up, the physics are off and somewhat floaty. Another thing is that it was really easy compared to the previous Sonics. You won't have a hard time being able to collect 100 (or even 200) rings. Lastly, although this is minor, it could have been more fitting for Sega to use the classic design of Sonic for the game. Those flaws aren't to say that the game is bad. The game itself is just as fun as its predecessors. In fact, while it does contain 4 zones compared to the other Sonics' 6+, certain levels themselves are pretty long. I timed it, and the game is actually just as lengthy as the old Sonics, if not longer. It could be a bit steep for a purchase, but it is totally worth it.Overall, people can say it's a rehash, but in my perspective shown above, in which I think about what's beyond that, it's a new fun Sonic game. Just be sure to have the Steam service installed on your computer. Does it have a lot of flaws? Yeah, but they are pretty tolerable.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Game! Worth the money!

I remember my brother and I playing the old Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic and Knuckles on the old Sega Genesis. Then, when my brother out grew it, me and my best friend would spend hours in front of the television playing it. I grew up and I didn't hear or see much about Sonic for a long time. Then I managed to find Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic and Knuckles for download here on Amazon. I was so psyched! Then, one day my cousin asked me, "Have you seen Sonic 4?" I was so excited that Sega had finally made a new Sonic game. My cousin allowed me to play it on his tablet, and I was hooked from the start! So I downloaded it for my computer. At first, I couldn't get Steam to work, but another cousin of mine, who knows computers even better than me, got it working and it's played great ever since! I like how Sonic has the new look, sort of like how he looked on the cartoon Sonic X. You also fight Dr. Eggman, who I always called Robotnik (they're actually the same person). I love how they incorporated many of the classic things like the spiral tracks in mid-air and the loops, but mixed it with a 3-D look and a few new things as well. One of my favorite features is you can go back and play the same levels over and over again and amass like 30 extra lives before playing the more challenging levels! It'll definitely be a game I play over and over again. I can't wait for Episode II!

4 out of 5 stars Could've been a little bit better
Drasadex

When I bought the game, I was thinking that this would be a pretty cool title. Well, to me, it's average. The hub world is okay, but the idea of choosing any world in any order you want to play doesn't feel right to me. I wish getting the Chaos Emeralds were slightly easier. Now the stages themselves aren't really that hard, it's the fact that if you fail the level (hitting the red "!" circles or running out of time), you can't just instantly go replay. But that doesn't bother me too much. The physics are alright however. Anyhow, if you love Sonic and want a good time killer, then go ahead and pick this up. (Especially if you want Episode Metal in Sonic 4: Episode 2)

3 out of 5 stars It's good, but not great
Justin

Pros:-Return to form-Interesting environments-Levels flow nicelyCons:-Terrible console models (hopefully you can find some decent mods)-Physics are a little strange-Levels are a little to familiar-Hubworld takes away from the flowOverall:Sonic 4 Episode 1 is a good game, but it does little in the way of innovation. The use of Wii models on a PC port comes off as lazy, and the controls still need some tweaking. The game is fun enough to warrant it's price tag, but at the same time, it feels a little too familiar. Strangely, Sonic Generations seems to come off a lot fresher, despite being a nostalgia based game. I have high hopes for sonic 4 episode 2, as it seems to be distancing itself from both nostalgia, graphics, and controls of this game (Look up the trailer, seriously). I'd buy generations instead, but if you don't have the money or hardware for it, this game is fairly good in its own right.

4 out of 5 stars It's like a modern classic Sonic. Sort of.
bill

This game gets a lot of hate for what it did wrong, and while there are a lot of issues with it, it's not a bad game. It just isn't worthy of being called Sonic 4. The graphics look quite nice; they're cell shaded and the environments look really good. There's a new homing attack feature. And it runs on a fairly strong computer with no issues.Only issues is the physics, which suck. A lot. But overall, it's a pretty solid game. Lets just hope that Episode 2 is better.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, Device!
Swamiji CH

This little gem works exactly as described. I started out, by using the ArcSoft software that comes with it, and was pretty disappointed with its limitations. I stumbled upon a feature-rich substitute, quite by accident --'Debut Video Capture Software' by NCH-- which allows one to fine-tune all the aspects of a recorded video, to suit. NCH has a whole suite of install-on-demand offerings, and offers both free & registered versions, apparently. I discovered that, by reducing the size of the video, there is virtually no stuttering of the output on the computer screen. In any case, the rendered file, turned out to be excellent. Frame rate, also, had to be tweaked (to prevent frame-dropping), since this computer isn't the 'latest & greatest.' LOLI am not disappointed, with this device, since I dumped ArcSoft. I don't believe you will be, either.

3 out of 5 stars As a Gamer
Carlos A. Lane

I bought this with the intent of using my laptop as a monitor for my X-Box 360, and while you can view live game-play, it does so with sub-standard video quality and also a noticeable lag from when you send a command to when you see it on the screen. But aside from that, it's a great software allowing you to do everything you need for editing videos and posting them on YouTube... just don't expect this to make your computer a monitor for games that require fast input and on-the-dime game-play.

1 out of 5 stars Four Wasted Hours
LCadaver

This product is complete crap. As an semi-pro videographer for 11 years and an IT support provider for 8, I thought this user-friendly device would be a snap, and I was only concerned with poor picture quality. Unfortunately I drastically overestimated the quality of this chunk of worthlessness. The drivers are a joke if you're using Windows 7, particularly for the audio. It took quite a bit of bouncing around the interwebs, but I finally found a driver that would actually make the audio come through the device. However, it stuttered constantly and was completely worthless. After finding no help with the stuttering audio, I decided to bypass the capture device's audio completely and capture the sound through my computer's sound card. That worked beautifully, except that the included Arcsoft crapware claims that I was trying to copy protected content. Apparently it interprets any damaged frames as Macrovision protection instead of just old tapes and shuts off the capture every few seconds. I considered contacting Arcsoft directly about this, but their support page doesn't even try to hide the fact that it will take FIVE TO SIX DAYS just to reply to you.The device seems intentionally designed not to work with any other capture software, so at this point it is a worthless piece of plastic.FORTUNATELY, Amazon is a first-class example of how you take care of your customers and they've prepaid return shipping and will be refunding the cost of the item with no hassles whatsoever. Thank you Amazon!

2 out of 5 stars I've got some issues.
Brian Murray

Let me begin by saying that the recording aspect of this works just fine, however, you have to buy two extra vga cables so be prepared to do that. Also I don't know if this is just a problem with my model but the audio input is choppy and terrible. I use this to record from my PS3 and sega genesis and I have the same problem with both systems.

1 out of 5 stars It does not work like it says it does
Cynthia Silva

After connecting it and reviewing the program and connections several times. the audio is very very very super poor quality. I had other friends who do tech for a living come in and help me, and it just doesnt do a nice recording. I dont like it.

3 out of 5 stars it works
MetalBoxFan

it works better for capturing gameplay then for streaming. I tried to stream minecraft xbox 360 edition and it was very laggy.

3 out of 5 stars So-so
MzSmith

Bought this product for my son. He wanted a more expensive HD PVR. The product did not meet my or my sons expectations. Instructions were vague, had to figure out how to work the product once only installation was complete. Some users will have to purchase more equipment.

2 out of 5 stars Low quality, grainy video
K. Cody

The video you'll capture with this devise is of pretty low quality. I wasn't expecting much for the price but I was pretty surprised when I finally saw how bad it was. It reminded me of the old VHS days, when you would make a copy of a copy of a copy etc. If you want really fuzzy videos, then go ahead and buy this device because you'll love it!
