I purchased an X31 Xbox 360 headset some time ago, which receives audio wirelessly but requires a "talkback cable" between the controller and headset to use voice chat features on the Xbox.The original cable was a brick-in-line design and the voice volume/mute control was about a third of the way down the cable from the headset. This was really annoying because you had to fumble for it, look at the cable to determine which way was volume up or down, etc., so after I finally broke the old cable via accidentally yanking it out of the headset for the umpteenth time (something that happens extremely often, especially with that volume control where it was) I decided to replace it with the more convenient "puck" talkback cable.I'm happy that the volume and mute controls are affixed to the controller (the "puck" end) and it is now extremely easy to use both without having to look at the cable. Unfortunately, the cable is shorter than their old brick-in-line designs and shorter than the third party cables. The entire thing is about arm's length (30 inches or so), so for someone like me who sets the Xbox controller down to sit back in my chair, I can no longer do so or I will yank my controller off my desk. The short cord has completely negated the convenience of the puck design, and I must now hold onto my controller more often than not to avoid pulling it onto the floor. A single extra foot of cable can make this a five star product.

The length of it is a bit shorter than how I'd like it to be, but it does what its supposed to do. I love it.Fits my controller perfectly.

I really like the puck feature on this cable, makes volume/mute control very easy. I use this with my x31's and it hasn't failed yet. But beware that these are usually made from a cheap wire manufacturer. This will be my 3rd cable I have ordered from TB.

Nice to have mute switch by controller. works well. On the down side it seems to fall out of my controller but I have a well used controller.

I like this puck better than my original cord that came with my Turtle Beach X41's. It's much easier to control the volume and the on/off switch. Good purchase for the price too.
