The extra grip that these caps provide is vital. Add in a pair of Stanley grip gloves and a Tomee silicone skin and your controller will last/perform forever. Highly recommended!

Hard, rough, and effective for thumb-on-top gaming; but not as expected.

These are very plastic-like; they don't feel like rubber at all. They are very hard. That was a bit of a disappointment because a rubbery texture would have been better when using the sides of the analog sticks. As it is, the sides are smooth and won't provide a good grip. The top, however, is fantastic .. From a certain point of view. It's heavy-grade sandpaper rough, and your finger won't slip off the top of the analog sticks even if you wanted them to. The top surface of these reminds me of a miniature meat tenderizer; and, I suppose, that's what they may be if you've got sensitive fingers. Also, once on the analog stick, there's not any indication that these caps will slip.Overall, they are effective for the manner in which I use my controller most often. They're worth keeping for the price, but I was disappointed that they aren't rubbery and lack any sort of texture on the sides.
