Nutwiisystem.Com
Motion Explosion is a compilation of 12 mini-games that have you balancing things, juggling things, grabbing things, and dodging things. In other words, it's a game whose main purpose seems to be so you can tell people, "Hey, I have a Kinect. Isn't it cool?"To get started, you can choose a guest avatar or use yours. You can play with up to 4 players; to say it's a "four player game" is a bit misleading because you're not competing against each other at once, you're taking turns. There are 12 mini games and each game has 10 levels of play. Here are the games:Balance Beam. In this game, you hold a board over your head while different-shaped blocks fall on it. You have to balance them as they fall on your board and dump them into buckets to collect points. The level of control and responsiveness is very good--you can move the board up or down or tilt it at any angle as you're collecting blocks. Overall, I'd say this game was the most fun out of the group (5 of 5)Crank it Up - In this game you're cranking a shaft with your left hand. As balls fly down, you'll punch at the target with your right hand. Sounds like a promising idea, but it gets extremely frustrating when you punch and punch but can't connect because the game expects you to work within a 3D space on the screen, but it's hard to gauge 3D depth and distance on a 2D screen. This will be a recurring theme throughout these reviews (2 of 5)Dodge Ball - Here, "robo cannons" move around the court and shoot balls at you. You can dodge them or you can punch them with the boxing gloves you have on. I really wanted to like this one (who doesn't love a good game of dodgeball), but the game suffered from the sluggishness that plagues many Kinect games, where you might move quickly but your on-screen character feels like it's stuck in molasses. (3 of 5).Heavily Armed - This is a derivative of the "Balance Beam" game where you have a board strapped to your left arm and need to stack blocks in specific patterns as they fall. It's an interesting use of the Kinect, and may be fun in a group setting, but quickly gets tiring when you're playing alone (3 of 5).Juggle Struggle - Like Dodge Ball, this concept is a real winner but simply suffers in the execution (ironically, the same concept is executed much better in Wii Fit). You use your hands to toss objects in the air and try to keep them in the air, stepping on stars on the ground and avoiding bombs from time to time that are thrown at you. This game suffers mightily from the aforementioned problem of trying to gauge 3D depth on a 2D screen. At times you'll be hitting the ball with precise timing but still completely miss it. This one could have been the star of the title, instead I found it quite mediocre (3 of 5).Off the Grid - Here, you stand on the intersection of two conveyor belts, where blocks are moving toward you from two angles. You need to contort your body to avoid blocks. This one required at least 8 feet of space which I didn't have, so it was unplayable for me. (2 of 5)Robo Control - This is an interesting game where you control a remote controlled robot to try to collect points. You pump with your left hand and steer left and right with the other. In all honesty, it felt kind of pointless. The "pumping and steering" actions didn't simulate anything at all like real life. Plus, this was a game that would have been infinitely more fun if two players could play simultaneously going after the same targets, but each player has to wait their turn. (2 of 5)Sack Hack - This was a pretty fun game that was along the lines of juggling--you basically play a virtual game of "hacky sack" with multiple different-colored balls. The system will highlight which limb to use to hit the ball. I found this fun, but again a victim of the same problem as juggling, where you'd hit the balls with perfect timing, but the system would let the ball drop because you weren't in the precisely correct position on the 3D plain (3 of 5)Shape Dodge - In this game, a number of shapes are coming at you on a conveyor belt, and you have to move out of the way. If this sounds like Off the Grid, that's because it is, the shapes are just coming at you from a different angle. 2 of 5)Star Hop - This game is all about footwork. You collect stars coming at you on yet another conveyor belt by touching them with your feet, and avoid bombs by stepping or hopping over them. I found this pretty fun, but if you're someone whose Kinect is too close that it can't detect your feet, you will not enjoy this one, as it'll be impossible to jump out of the way (4 of 5)Star Stream - This is a game where you reach up and grab stars as they come toward you. Again, this should have been a lot more fun than it turned out to be. As with other games, reaction was sluggish at best (2 of 5)Tilt Board - This game is reminiscent of those old wooden maze games. You tilt a board to make a ball roll on it, and gather as many stars as you can while avoiding red holes and exiting the maze at a green hole. The controls are hardly intuitive--you move your left hand up and down to tilt the maze backward and forward, and move your right hand from side to side to tilt the board left and right. Probably would have been more fun if it just let you hold your hands in front of you and tilt your whole body. But as it was, it was disappointing (2 of 5)You can either play a "Motion Mix" of three random games or play any of the game using "Free Play" mode. One cool feature of the game is that it'll give you in-depth statistics of how well you play each game and the progress you make. You probably saw some recurring themes in my descriptions of the games. If you don't have at least 8-10 feet of space in front of your Kinect, it won't work for you. Many game suffer from sluggishness. The complexity of trying to figure out precise 3D space on a 2D screen can be frustrating. And even though there were 12 games, many of them felt monotonously similar to each other (there are more conveyor belts here than at an assembly plant). There were a few other really annoying things about the game. The announcer throughout the game is a perky woman who's had about five cups of coffee too much, and there's no way to turn her off. Worse, when you fail to perform certain things, she'll get really snide and sarcastic. Now I don't mind this in games when the foul-up is my fault. But when it's the system fouling up and I get lambasted for it, that gets really, really annoying, enough where I want to punch the TV. Another little annoyance--after every game your avatar would celebrate wildly with a dance, even if he or she just scored no points. I wanted to slap my avatar and tell him to cut it out.I should mention that this is a party game, and if you play all the games above in a party setting, I'm guessing it'll be a lot more fun simply because you're competing against each other and all are on a level playing field. But again, the inability for players to compete simultaneously is unfortunate.I suppose if you practice enough times, eventually you'll learn how to adjust for idiosyncrasies like the depth perception and the sluggishness issues. But personally, I don't have the patience for that, not when there are plenty of other Kinect games (such as Kinect Sports and Dance Central) that you can just pop in and play out of the box.Overall, I'd say that this would have been a great title a year ago, when the Kinect was first launched. In many ways, it feels like a demonstration title showing the capabilities of the Kinect. But I didn't really find it compelling as a stand-alone title. In fact, the impression I got from Motion Explosion is that it was very similar to those "shovelware" games we saw on the Wii, where a publisher would pack in a bunch of similar mediocre games on one title in hopes that people would snatch them up thinking they were getting a good deal. I'd say maybe it's worth $19.99 when it gets to the bargain bin. But for $39.99 there are plenty of other options. Read more ›

This game by far has the best graphics I've seen so far but the games are very boring. The games don't last more than 1 minute for each player. Some of them only last 30 seconds. What fun can you get playing in 30 seconds.... please !!!
Red
I have several Kinect games, this one by far gets the most use when it comes to 'fun' games, as opposed to games I play for exercise daily. My friends all love this game. Our least favorite is Robo Control as the controls never seem to operate properly. We've also found it works much better on my large screen plasma tv than on their smaller, old school tv. When using their tv our movements seem to have to be much more precise in games such as sack hack and juggle struggle to get the specified area of the body to hit the targets. I love star hop but find star stream to be a bit challenging. I would recommend this game to anyone looking to play something fun with friends, but it really is no fun all alone as you get tired and have no one to cover the game for you so you just end up turning the console off or finding another game. If you think the game is boring, then perhaps you should simply try unlocking some harder levels, there are 12 games each with 10 levels so there is plenty to keep you busy!
Cutie
It really give you a workout trying to balance things and playing with your family. This is a great family game.

First of all I think the fact you can move from house to house makes it alot more fun than The Sims. This game entertains you as well as teaches you a bit of reality, such as getting a job, or keeping the house clean. I think you sould be at least 10 & up to play this game because some sims kiss each other and sometimes, not something you ant to show to a young child. During this game you have to try to keep your motives up, get promoted, make friends, move out, and take over Malcom's mansion all in a days work. I own both The Sims and The Sims Bustin' Out, and The Sims Bustin' Out is much more fun. I highly recommend this game. You get lot's of fun for only a little price!

This is the best game ever (other than Halo)!!! I spent hours playing ths game. It will keep you entertained forever. Unlike other games, once you beat this, you can play free mode, or keep playing in Bustin Out mode. You will never want to put this game down!
Really is a great game. Through out the game you build up your skills, unlock items, social skills, and money. There are a variety of houses, and not one of them boring. There is two parts to this game--bust out and freeplay. Under the sim number which you created your account(Sim 1, Sim 2, Sim 3 ect.) you can go into free play a build a house and family and use all the things that you unlocked. You can spend hours taking a default house (in bustin out)tear it down, and build one that suits you. Buy this game! Its very cheap and you will be pleased

The first time I ever saw the Sims I thought it would be interesting, it is, but it is also cool! You get to design and name your own Sim and do make sure they do what they need to do. These jobs include going to the bathroom, eating, having fun, taking a bath, or just to sleep. You have to find a job and have to make a profit. This game is 1-2 player so you can have a friend over to play it with you. Here are the GOOD THINGS about the Sims, Bustin' Out:The theme- What's good about the theme is that you are taking control of a person. What he/she does, looks, and works at.The people- Once a while you have to live with you mom, sometimes you live with a roommate called Mimi. Wherever you are, you are talking to the person that you live with, or you talk to them on the phone. Another reason why the people are good is because they are just hilarious. They are funny in their own special way.The BAD THINGS for the Sims: Bustin' Out:It's not for kids- If you notice at the cover, the game is rated teen, and it really is teen. When they go to the bathroom, they will block it, but still, you can see them going to the bathroom and taking a bath. The controls- As I have said before, you can control how the person lives. But, sometimes it is very difficult. You have to highlight things just to make that person do it. It might come easy to some people, but it was hard for me.The Sims: Bustin' Out is worth buying for $20. It is fun for most people and I am glad I bought it.

I have to say - I got the first Sims out on the Xbox a while ago and was not all that fussed on it - I only played it for about 20 min before I got frustrated with it cause I didn't understand what I had to do. I got out Bustin Out and that was the end of it - I ammm sooo addicted - I found myself rushing home from chores I had to do so my Sim could clean up or go to her job (how sad am I). It made an otherwise boring weekend entertaining.
Gameboy
This game is great! There are so many options to customize your home and items to buy for it. I love being able to add swimming pools, hot tubs, and game tables. I also like the fact that you can create a whole family including children sims unlike Sims 2 where you cannot create children sims therefore no complete family. It's so cool though to create and build your own home and furnish it like your fantasy home. My wife loves to design homes so she created one and as best as possible created herself and me in the game as sim characters as well as created a little girl of which we one day hope to have for real. It's just plain ol good fun. And very addicting. It's so very easy to lose track of time while playing. I highly recommend this title.
This game is fun to play and watch! It is a step up from the first Sims and the extra options are great. You can work your way up in a career, find a new job and go back to your other career without losing your position. I like the different challenges in the different houses, it gives something extra to the game other than going to work and skill building. I havent' even played on the free play option yet. This game will be played for a long time to come. I have reccommended to several friends who are just as happy with it as I am. I great change from all the violent games out there!
Jennifer Westermann
I think this is an awesome game! This was actually the first Sims game I have ever played, and from the moment I turned it on I was hooked. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about playing a game where all you do is eat, sleep, talk, go to work, etc, but as soon as I started playing I couldn't manage to tear myself away. The graphics are well done, you get to visit many different places, and there are many interesting characters to interact with. I do wish that they had bigger outfit selections, and more options and ways to "detail" or "create" your sim, though. And for some reason, right when I was about to beat the game there was some sort of glitch that wouldn't let me finish it, but other than those two things I had a lot of fun playing, and have played it more than once. Great fun!

"The characters are all 100% complete, I've been using them thoroughly. Also there's over 100 alt costumes, hundreds of gems, a combo editor, a replay analyzer, and even freaking colors that are all locked on the disc. You can see full videos of everything on my channel"[...]"Secondly, we've been asked by some players of the Xbox 360 version about the 4-player co-op mode and why it doesn't work when two players team up (locally) and attempt to play online. Unfortunately, due to time and resource issues, we weren't able to get that feature into the Xbox 360 version and we apologize to those players who were looking forward to it."-[...]False advertising, loads of hidden dlc... don't support a company that engages in such bad business practices.
C. Moreiraorantes
Capcom, you are SUPER LAME.Not only did you cancel the sountrack for the special edition, but you also cut corners by merging the instruction manual, the comic book, and the 2-3 page "art" book into one.I thought I was getting a nice art book and a separate comic book like the marketing implies. The marketing also implies a large coin bank. They make it look bigger than the game box. What you get is a tiny coin bank that is 3/4 the height of the game box.Maybe you'll do better when you release the Super Special Edition....*rolls eyes*

[...]Capcom has released a full game and charged full price for 60% of it. DLC has become a staple of this industry and its not surprising companies are trying to add more content to keep the title played longer. This is the opposite. This makes me want to get rid of this game and not purchase the next one they release.
Pol
No Local Co-Op for online modes, Sound problems when playing online, control problems when jumping, on disc DLC, only 2 colors for customization, that gem system is worthless.... c'mon i paid 70$ for an incomplete game or what?I should've learned after Marvel vs Capcom 3... but I trusted Capcom would not do anything like that again..."I am disappoint"
Jose Eduardo Parada
Although there may be a lot of people who like crossovers with tag mechanics, in my case (as a huge Street Fighter fan), I find it lacking. It is a fun game and it will keep people entertained, but honestly I don't think that tekken players will get into it, but I might be wrong for those that like TTT (until Tekken x SF comes out). One other thing I hate was the 12 characters already on the disc that I will have to pay for later on. This is really bad business Capcom and again you have done it to me and to many other people. But oh well. Back into the game. I don't really like tagging, I don't really like the gems system and I don't really like the way combos are set up. I'm not getting anything from Capcom again until the games get price cuts that justify purchasing the additional stuff. Now bring another Capcom Vs. SNK or Darkstalkers!!!
N8online
I like the way that reviewers rate the gameplay as well as the overall purchase on this site. It is good to know what you are getting for your dollar. I can see why some would be upset when they bought this game. Games are already expensive. I was suprised that you had to pay an extra 20 bucks to unlock more characters. It is no different with the "special edition." I got the game used for $25 and paid the extra $20 for the unlockable characters because I wanted to use Lei Wulong right away. I loved Street Fighter when I first played it on Super Nintendo and loved Tekken when I first played it on PS1. I knew I would give this game a shot regardless. I like this game. The controls took some getting used to for me because I am use to playing fight games on a Playstation controller. This is my first fighting game on a 360. The tag and gem system works well once you figure out how you can mix and match the combos. I am having fun with the online play even though I am getting hammered! I was 1W & 5L and had to go back to training, LoL. I am really enjoying dream match ups that I never thought would be possible between the Street Fighter & Tekken series!
CCC
Unreal the depths at which Capcom will stoop to just to make a buck and alienate it's loyal fans over and over again. They did it to us with Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Eddition, SSF4AEV20012, Marvel Vs Capcom 3, MVC3 DLC, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (less than a year later), another Version of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 in the works and now this, Street Fighter X Tekken. Loaded with a bunch of content on the disc they expect you to pay extra for outside of the initial purchase and a partially incomplete game when it was shipped to boot! People that buy this that eat up the dlc are only making it worse for all of us. Capcom, I love your games but enough is enough, get the hell out of here.

Got this real cheap here (21.00 or so) The comic book and mini cabinet are nice additions, otherwise the original game box art is way cooler, glad I got the guide which features it prominently.

Light as a combat element: As Wake journeys deeper into the mystery of Bright Falls, the shadows close in around him. When darkness descends, light becomes his only ally as he fights his way to daybreak. This poses a severe problem for Alan Wake since his enemies seemingly gain strength from the shadows, and before long, light itself becomes his greatest ally. Players must skillfully combine their use of light with more conventional weapons to stand a chance.
Realistic, interactive environment: Set in the town of Bright Falls, the hyper-detailed environments of the Pacific Northwest play an important role, as even the change in daylight and weather will profoundly affect the characters and enemies in Alan Wake. The game’s advanced rendering engine provides amazingly realistic environments that bring this world to detailed life–from the lush forest of evergreen trees to the quaint small-town buildings and streets. The world of Alan Wake is alive and real.
Episodic narrative: The mission-based structure of Alan Wake creates an episodic narrative similar to a deeply structured dramatic television series, such as LOST, Twin Peaks and X-Files. As the episodes progress, gameplay evolves to introduce new elements and characters, escalating the level of threat and action in the game.

I decide to make a quick unboxing video to show exactly what you get in this Limited Edition version of Alan Wake. Check out my video review to see it all with your own eyes! Here's the quick rundown on Limited Edition bonus features:- Cool 'hardcover book'-style slipcase- Bonus disc.- CD soundtrack.- Free DLC- Avatar unlockables.- Hardcover book/novel
John Wood
I got my copy of the game yesterday and have been playing it non-stop. First, let me say that if you have the money to spring for the limited collectors edition it is worth it. You get a very well written book, the soundtrack, a bonus disc that includes themes and avatar items, etc. And the case that holds it all is a book. It is a surprisingly well crafted edition of the game. Also, if you buy this new (you might get lucky if the person you are buying this from doesn't use the free token when the DLC comes out) you get a code to download a free add-on for the game to be released in the following months. Now to the game. I'm not going to reveal any spoilers but rather comment on the gameplay and mechanics. First, the two things that bothered me, but did not take away from the experience and pull me out of the immersion. There is some screen tearing, although it's not much it is noticeable. And the other thing is the mouth to voice sync. A character will be talking to you and sometimes the mouth expressions do not match up to what is being said. It doesn't happen too often, but it makes you wonder why a game in development for so long would have this problem. Now the good. The graphics are amazing. The developers make the best use of motion blur and focus that I have seen in a game as of this date on a console. The use of dark and light is almost perfect and the atmosphere is even enhanced by this fact. The controls are tight and not complex. It might take you a few minutes to get used to the flashlight and gun combo but you will learn quick. My problem was that I thought I would only hit the target if the flashlight was aimed at the bad guy, but it seems that you will still hit the enemy even without the flashlight on them. I'm used to first person shooter games where you have a cross-hair to help you aim so I was using the flashlight beam as the cross-hair. After I learned that I didn't have to do that it was awesome and much easier. Also, the flow of the game is very well suited to the episodic nature. I think if they tried to tell the story like a start to finish movie it wouldn't have had the level of immersion that it does. When an episode is over and the next one is starting I really felt like I was excited to watch a new episode of my favorite show. Kudos to the developers for trying something that few others have in this genre. The sound is also superior. You could have the best looking game in the world but one of the foundations that you need is good audio if you want the player to be immersed in the game. I played this game with a 7.1 surround and it was great. The creaks, chirps, grasshoppers and all the little sound effects seem to be in the right speaker at the right time. I'm not sure if they are using compressed audio, but from my experience with sound in most games you can tell the difference in the sound quality when you have your system blasting full surround. The sound and music did not sound muffled or of a low frequency sample rate.I hope I didn't confuse too many of you with my review and I tried to get my opinion across as simple as I could. Simply put, this game is very good if you are a fan of the suspense/horror genre. Another good thing is that it is rated T, which means that it can appeal to a larger group of gamers under 17. You want to play this game with the lights off.At the moment you can also download the six episodes entitled "Bright Falls" (each episode has it's own subtitle) that is the prequel to Alan Wake on Xbox Live! It is live action and the run-time if you put all the episodes together is about 37 minutes so you get a pretty good look of the mysteries and people of Bright Falls. As always I make it clear that this is only my opinion of the game and should not be taken as a fact, but rather a small consideration if you are wondering about the game or wanting some small tidbits of information if you are planning on buying it. If you do plan on buying it you won't regret it. Even if you aren't a fan of the genre I think this game could get your attention and give you an enjoyable experience. Read more ›

Not much to be said that has not already been posted. I have been anticipating this game for some time simply because the plot looked very interesting and it just seemed like my kind of game. When my release day package arrived via UPS along with RED DEAD REDEMPTION I was extremely pleased to see the level of quality that went into making this LIMITED EDITION COPY. Comes with Avatar unlockables, a hard cover book as well as CD audio soundtrack (how many games offer that) as well as a bonus (content) disc including several themes and gamer pictures, as well as AVATAR unlockables and a code that allows you to download the upcoming DLC coming out in July? for free provided your XBOX LIVE email address is current so they can send you the code. I think it's an awesome game and the Collectors edition is one of the best I have ever seen. Right up there with the Gears of War Limited Edition. Super worth the money. Gameplay is what I expected and I have already been frightened a few times and I am not that far into the game. Seems like a great game with a great story. Look forward to playing through a couple times. Highly recommended.

It seems that David Lynch missed the boat somewhere. With the current rush of thriller style horror games hitting the market, he could have produced a game of epic proportions. In his absence, however, Remedy Entertainment has stepped up to the plate. If Deadly Premonition managed to capture the quirky characters and almost farcical style of Twin Peaks, Alan Wake has nailed the foreboding, fear-filled side of the series.Author Alan Wake is trapped in a story that he doesn't remember writing and his wife's life is at stake. Armed with his trusty flashlight and an assortment of weapons, he must stave off the forces of darkness lurking throughout the town of Bright Falls while uncovering the clues to his own memory loss, his mysterious, new novel Departure and the location of his abducted spouse. And it all plays out as cinematically as any game has ever managed to do.The StoryPenned by the deft hand of Sam Lake, there are definite echoes of Max Payne within this game--primarily the ongoing introspection and voice-over that narrates the story as it unfolds before the gamer. Otherwise, Alan Wake is a completely unique experience. Twists and turns in the plot manage to keep the story within grasp while introducing new and interesting tidbits throughout the game.Game levels are scripted as 'episodes'--much as they were in Deadly Premonition--beginning with flashbacks of what has happened previously in the story/game. It gives the game a television-like vibe that brings to mind series like Lost and the X-Files--and is spoofed by the game itself with glimpses of a popular program (called Night Springs) that resembles the Twilight Zone on in-game televisions. In addition to the 'what happened before' flashbacks, gamers are also treated to a unique song between each of the episodes (such as the eerily appropriate In Dreams by Roy Orbison that also made an appearance in David Lynch's Blue Velvet).Admittedly, the game is a little long on cut-scenes/cinematics--but they are absolutely forgivable within Alan Wake as they enhance the game experience and almost give the gamer the feeling they are 'playing within a movie.' Don't ignore the cut-scenes in this game; they are as beautiful as they are relevant.Sights and SoundsIf Alan Wake is not the most gorgeous game ever released on the Xbox 360, then I don't know what is! Daytime in Bright Falls reveals a rustic Pacific Northwestern town that has been exquisitely detailed and constructed--but when night falls, the game is drenched in some of the best uses of light and shadow ever included within a game. Seriously, just watch how the flashlight bursts through the mists rising from the woodland trail in front of you, and take a peak at the white-capped mountains in the distance rimmed with moonlight and dare to disagree with me.The sound design of the game is equally evocative; choosing to feature ambient music and sound effects for the background pays off with a steady build of fear and dread throughout the game. Enjoy the 'between the episodes' music for what it is: A break from the tension! One last thing I want to mention in this section is the fine detail of facial expressions and character mannerisms throughout the game. They give a uniqueness to every person you encounter and make interactions throughout Alan Wake a pleasure. The Game PlayAlan Wake's game play is structured much like other Third Person Shooters, so if you have fears of the tough-to-handle style of movement associated with other horror games (think Silent Hill and Alone in the Dark), you can rest easy. The mechanics involved with using the dual weapon system (flashlight/gun, etc.) are extremely user-friendly as well: Point the light at the enemy and that's where your bullets will hit.In addition to the main storyline of the game, there are other, ongoing mini-missions as well--though they are mostly of the 'collectibles' variety. So be sure to pay attention to your surroundings and don't be afraid of leaving the well-trodden path to search for hidden caches of ammo, manuscript pages or the occasional thermos of coffee. While the vast majority of this game is a pleasure to play, there are a few short comings that I would be remiss in not mentioning. The driving element of this game is mediocre at best; the drivable vehicles (not every car/truck is available to Wake) are a bit sluggish and handle a bit clumsily--though this, admittedly, does add to the tension of the game when bad guys are swarming you. But this is a minor thing since Wake is rarely forced to use a vehicle. The continuous navigation of woodland paths (with the occasional handful of enemies jumping out) can also get a bit repetitive--though the game does manage to stay (for the most part) fun. And it would have been nice to have had a bit more of a map, rather than a simple GPS dot to follow--especially when you are trying to navigate through some of the more open areas of the game.SummationThough no game is perfect, I have to admit that in a lot of ways, Alan Wake is damn close! I give it 4.5 stars out of 5 (due to the minor shortcomings already mentioned). Alan Wake is the perfect mix of story and game play--and a fine example of how applying cinematic film techniques to a game can give it a depth that other titles can only dream of achieving. Do yourself a favor: Buy Alan Wake, fire it up and turn down the lights. Just don't forget to catch your breath during the musical interludes...You can check out more of my game reviews on my Amazon Author's Page (http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B001JRWEAC). Read more ›

This is probably the most solid track pack out there. Most quality songs cost $2 a piece, so 20 for $20 is a great deal. Just don't buy it used, there's a one-time code in these that will allow you to import the songs into Rock Band for free (after the cost of the pack). If it's used, someone has used the code, and you're stuck with a lower-functioning version of Rock Band that's on the disc.

I own just about every Rock Band and Guitar Hero title available. Sure, they're fun -- especially Rock Band Legos which the whole family will enjoy -- but let's face it, most of these titles are chock full of bands you don't know, and even after being forced to play their mediocre tunes, you still won't care.Which is why I'm so glad I picked up the Classic Rock track pack. It's more than just a set of great songs -- EVERY track is solid gold -- it plays all on its own. No need to have anything but a guitar and this disc.If you grew up in the '70s and '80s you will bang your head and rock out to every single track. And now that it's priced at a very reasonable $20ish, you've got no excuse to dive right in.Rock on!

I bought this as a gift for my father. High speed internet is not available where he lives, so this was an awesome way for him to get new songs for Rock Band. He really enjoyed it.
T. Nathe
Wanted new songs for rockband and most of these were good. If you were to buy each song individualy thru microsoft it would cost $40.00. Cheaper to by the expansion pack.
Bryan
Although this works as a standalone Rock Band game, you shouldn't get any of these track packs as a replacement for the main games. They have a quarter of the songs and half the features. You won't be able to play online or make your own characters. Furthermore, all of the songs on this pack can be bought individually on the Rock Band online store through the main game in either part 1 or part 2, so you won't be missing out on anything to pass this by.The #1 selling point and the reason I am giving this 5 stars, though, is because this game is supplied with a code on a piece of paper that anyone can use one time to allow them to download all 20 songs for free. That means you can buy this pack and then e-mail the code off to a friend. You can still keep the disc for yourself, too! The code makes a great gift for anyone you know who's too cheap to buy songs for themselves. Maybe you're never going to get your buddy to decide on which songs to buy, and even if you give them points they "save" them "just in case". This code will force them to finally expand their library so you're not always playing the same tired songs when you visit or play together online. As for the quality of the tracklist, these songs are, for the most part, some of the better downloadable classic rock songs. Harmonix have a vast library of songs for Rock Band, so they have an easy time assembling 20 good ones. You don't need a paid subscription to XBox Live to download and play the songs with the code. You just need an ethernet connection, which I'm sure 99% of gamers do have at this point. As a less important point of interest, these track pack discs all have 250 points of achievements tied to them, for those of you who just can't get enough of the gamerscore.Although this disc is not going to appeal to the vast majority of people, for those who want to surprise a friend with 20 songs, it serves its purpose.

It is hard to find rock band accessories, but Amazon made it easy for me to find everything that I was looking for.Thank You.

Great add-on to Rock Band. I know Rock Band is officially Dead, especially after Harmonix has Axed (as of today actually) the Weekly DLC's and focusing elsewhere (*Cough DANCING*).But I'm a rocker and this was one of the last items I needed to add to my collection.Imported Flawlessly to Rock Band 3. (Just make sure you get NEW so you can use the 1 time Import Code)Whole family has our weekly Rock Nights. Sometimes Rock Weeks (When cold outside).

The Goon
DO NOT BUY horibble game its tony hawk pro skater with flick controls not good flick controls a single flick can make you do a rodeo so its basically button controls with a stick there's a reason its available on the Wii cause like the Wii this game is a joke
Adam D. Shields
To start, I'm not a fan of the uber sktating franchises such as Tony Hawk and Skate. These titles at one point were fun, but slowly attempted to alter their formula into something straying from the average person who might enjoy these games.I was on a cheap shopping binge, looking for titles I was curious about and came upon Shaun White Skateboarding. After watching a video or two, I was intrigued. The player has the ability to alter the surroundings by performing different tricks (similar in some sense to "Da Blob"). So while the concept was captivating to me, I needed to know if the game suffered from the disorienting camera of "Skate" or the ho-hum control scheme of the latter "Tony Hawk" series. When I received the game, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, there's a level of camp with the story, trying to tell a story of Big Brother (The Ministry) trying to control the population with skating somehow being the "good guys" righting these wrongs through skating". While the concept is eye rolling, what ended up being wonderful was the method the player interacts with the world. As the ministry has controlled the world, it has enveoloped everything in a grey color scheme. Freedom in the form of skating paints the world with bright and beautiful colors. As you play, you unlock new abilities such as controlling rails up and out in the world, allowing ramps to produce in particular locations, and creating your own path through the world. The controls are easy to learn and quite enjoyable. While diehard skating fans might not enjoy this game due to allegiances to their particular brand, those who find the other endeavors too much to handle, this is a nice learning experience with moments that will make you chuckle. There might be more technical skate board games out there, but few were as enjoyable without becoming a complete simulation. I definitely recommend this and most certainly at the more recent budgeted price. -Adam
Boxcar
Trailer looks cool, the concept sounded different, so the final product? Flop. Bland environments and the gameplay is just boring and not inspiring i was hoping i would of gotten that feeling like i did when i played the first Skate, nope not at all. If you want a good skateboarding game then go with Skate 3
James D Staller
Nice game for skateboarding teen. As advertised. Good graphics and sounds. Would recommend for the gamer who also likes skateboarding.
R. Barkas
People need to stop being so hard on this game. I'm a big fan of skateboarding video games, and while this game may not be as good as the Skate series or the earlier Tony Hawk games, it's actually a pretty good game. I have fun playing this game; I just have two minor problems with it: Barely anybody plays it online, and the controls are somewhat hard to use and get used to. But overall, it's a good game and I would recommend it. Not to mention, it's wicked cheap nowadays if you want to buy it.
patty927a
Got this for my daughter's boyfriend. He loved it. great little game and great price. The shipping was fast and arrived in great condition.

if your looking for a skateboard game then get skate. the campaign was a little fun at first but dropped off very quicky, multiplayer totally sucks i hate this game so much if your looking for something positive about this game and more info look somewhere else
That one guy
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TERRIBLE GAME! IT WILL GIVE YOU HERPES AND/OR AIDS! This game celebrates ripping off the skate franchise, don't fall for it if you cherish your dignity. if you do happen to come across a copy, don't hesitate to either burn it or hand it to someone you really hate.

Product is easy to install, and satys secure. Much cheaper option than buying the actual controller. Definitely getting another one!!!

This is a inexpensive way to "bling" up your controllers. I bought 3 of them and they all fit great. The noly downside is if you use a key pad on your controller it will not fit on with the face plate.
Cameron
When I initially got this product I was skeptical of the slick surface and its ability to stay intact. I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome this controller plate is. The surface feels fantastic, once you get used to it. The plate stays put no matter how excited and physical you get with the controller. Great product. Go Jags!

I'm a Colts fan myself, but I bought this as a gift to a Buccaneers fan of mine who had an Xbox. A cool way to decorate your controller!

I bought this controller cover for my husband. I was concerned that this 'snap on' cover might inhibit game play, but we were pleased to find that it doesn't. He really enjoys it, representing his team while game playing. The colors were spot on, the team logo very nice. We'd recommend this item to anyone.
