Finally!A cricket game for the consoles that is worth playing, and is very enjoyable.I bought this game for the PS3 and also the XBOX 360.Works perfectly on US version of XBOX 360 and PS3 with HDMI cableI played the PS3 version for a while, then decided to try the XBOX 360 version.Between the 2 versions, I prefer the 360 version, simply because the controller is more chunky, and I feel is a little more responsive than the PS3 controller when playing this game. The game play is very good and whilst there are still a few bugs that need to be ironed out with future patches, the game is still extremely enjoyable. If you are a cricket fan - this is definitely the game to get!

Don Bradman cricket is the best cricket game I have played and I will say it the best cricket game made till date. Ball physics, BARS, batting and bowling is just amazing. There is a high learning curve but once you get good at it its very rewarding. Those of us who follow cricket know of a phrase "Shot selection" I this game you will know exactly what it means. Bowling is realistic as well, there will be overs where the batsmen will be set and they will defend all the good balls and then pick on the bad ball to whack it for a boundary. So yeah its a game for the cricket enthusiast.Catching is an area this game can improve on. One handed diving catches are good but in the game even sitters are caught like that :) Non- strikers running between the wickets can be improved on. But all in all its a good game of cricket so my recommendation would be to anyone who loves cricket as a sport do play this game.

Has some quirks, but what doesn't. Great first effort! Both addictive and frustrating. The game is easy to pick up but tough to master. A very promising cricket franchise on the anvil.

Before I start - there is no region lock on this game, you can play it on any Xbox console, even though it says PALS on the back cover.I have been playing cricket games on PC and consoles for the better part of 14 years, and I must say this is probably the best so far, in terms of gameplay and therefore it is better than all its predecessors. The unique batting and bowling controls add a more authentic touch to the game, and makes you feel like you are really on the field. However, the graphics (crowds, stadiums, grass, wear and tear on the ball, etc) are lacking, and so you never get a 100% the way there. Below is a detailed review of the entire game :(1) Overall Gameplay : Excellent. Controls take a little getting used to, bowling is definitely easier to get a hold off than batting, but unlike previous games where you knew exactly where the ball was going (batting or bowling), this makes it more like the real thing. You have to play them as they come. Fielding however is suboptimal, and on several occasions the fielders are walking to the ball even though you are stealing runs.(2) Gameplay detail : The developers did not spend a lot of time working on the graphics of the game, which is what you expect from the first version of the game. I am sure this will change as the game is updated . The ball looks sparkling new at 60 overs as it does in the first over. The crowd detail is low and the grounds look more like wallpapers. But your eyes are going to be sorely focused on the pitch and the ball.(3) Load/Save : The game does not let you save your progress during the game so you can come back to that spot in case you got out or the game just got away from you. This is so it mirrors the real thing, but it does get annoying when you are just trying to play a few quick overs as you are going through your day. Minor issue, something that will probably not affect you.I am a big sports gamer who has played every EA series of FIFA from 1991 to 2015, the Top Spin Series, NBA 2K I have owned every Cricket game out there since the first one came out and below is my comparison vs other cricket games , and vs other sports games.Vs other Cricket Games- More realistic game play (90% of the grade is based on this - the designers have really done a fantastic job)- The single player career mode is a great touch and makes the runs and wickets a personal achievement- The XP scoring (especially in Career mode) is a cool way of building your game over time- Hands down better graphics than all the EA games, but not as fluid as Codemasters . The Codemasters games had a cleaner flow. But I would buy this over a Codemasters any dayVs other Sports Games- Very little story arc and each game feels disconnected from the rest -while playing career or while playing a tournament. EA has some really good techniques where commentators link past games performances, talk about form, your morale , etc.- Graphics are definitely not as good as EA FIFA or Madden, even the XBox 360 versions of the game- Overall, feels a little basic, but I am sure the designers will improve on thisNet net : If you love cricket and were craving for a game that captured the true spirit of the game, this is it. Buy it, and lock yourself away for a month :) Read more ›
