Not as good as the early versions..

I work in software and understand the need to improve and add enhancements. However, morphing a winning formula into something else just because the competition is doing it isn't the way to keep loyal customers who like the product because of the way it was.The bells and whistles added to this version of the game don't enhance it much. It seems more like an arcade game now, or the old Doom or Wolfenstein shooters than the old GR we came to know and love. I guess they are following the trend to first person shooters and away from the game concepts that made the game so great in the early versions. What happened to unlocking new weapons for friend and foe alike? What happened to assigning attributes to characters? The best way to retain interest in a game is not by making it difficult.I would not purchase this game again.
